There is plenty to do here, including cruises, boat trips, and watersports on Lake Windermere, as well as a variety of shops, restaurants, and pubs to satisfy all interests in the hamlet. The parkland at Waterhead gives beautiful views down the lake and a brief stretch of beach, while a walk in the opposite way, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, leads to the enchanting Stock Ghyll Force waterfall.
