Your holidays in the wild heart of Tuscany

Farmhouse complex with 4 beautiful apartments on a hilltop not far from Lucca. The stone farmhouse sits at 600 meters altitude and offers views over the surrounding countryside with chestnut forests, and steep wooded mountains. It is a little paradise from which one can hike all the mountain trails and visit the historical cities of central Tuscany. Gallicano with all facilities is at 10kms, Barga is at 18kms and Lucca is at 50kms. Firenze and the seaside at Forte dei Marmi are an hour’s and half drive away.

The entrance to this apartment (Capanne 1) is on the front of the cottage, where the terrace is situated, furnished with a large wooden table for outdoor breakfasts, and chairs and stools to sit in the sun. Two doors allow you to enter the spacious interior.
On the left is the cooking area, including a fridge, oven and gas-stove. In the centre is the dining area with a small fireplace between the two entrance doors, and on the right is the living area with a comfortable bed couch.
A wooden staircase leads up to a double bedroom with a small bathroom and shower. To the left of the kitchen, a step lower than the rest, is the second double bedroom with a large bathroom and shower.

This apartment is very spacious comfortable and welcoming, also due to the fact of perfect use of wooden materials for the interior.

Einmalig!

Was für ein wundervoller Ort! Urig schön, gut ausgestattet, gut gepflegt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Der Pool ist, gerade bei sommerlichen Temperaturen, das Highlight - mit dieser fantastischen Aussicht. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden uns oft dran zurück erinnern. Wunderschön und entspannend

Es hat alles einwandfrei geklappt und Daniele war super nett und zuvorkommend! Er hat uns sogar in Gallicano abgeholt und zur Unterkunft geführt. Der Pool war immer sauber und das Ambiente war klasse. Ich würde immer wieder gerne hier her kommen.

Een prachtige locatie met onwijs aardige eigenaren!

We kijken met heel erg veel plezier terug op ons verblijf! De locatie is echt prachtig en wordt ook heel goed onderhouden door de eigenaren. Het zwembad is echt heerlijk, een onwijs mooi uitzicht! Het verblijf is echt super netjes en schoon, niets op aan te merken! De eigenaren zijn heel attent en heel behulpzaam. Kortom, een echte aanrader en wij komen zeker graag nog een keer terug!!!

Ein fantastischer, magischer Ort

Das Haus liegt abseits jeglichen Trubel ansolut ruhig. Nachts ruft das Käutzchen. Der Pool mit dem Blick in die Berge ist großartig. Der Vermieter ist sehr angenem und fürsorglich. Er kümmerts sich auf diskrete Art um seine Gäste. Wer Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht ist hier genau richtig. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen.

Gite sympathique dans un coin magnifique

Très bon accueil de Daniele, vue magnifique, très calme, les Alpes apuanes pour de belles randos à proximité et quelques belles bourgades à visiter. La piscine est un atout déterminant avec 35°C en août... Seul petit bémol : un peu de promiscuité avec les occupants du gîte voisin sur les terrasses, une séparation visuelle serait la bienvenue (claustras...)

In den Bergen

Die Anlage (Pool und Garten) ist sehr gepflegt und unsere Wohnung (Nr. 1) war in einem sehr guten Zustand. Alles war sauber, die Küche gut ausgestattet und die Duschen lieferten reichlich warmes Wasser. Der Vermieter war jederzeit ansprechbar, hilfsbereit und hat uns mit frischem Brot versorgt, welches wir nur sehr empfehlen können. Das Restaurant Eliseo in Gallicano hat uns bei zwei Besuchen sehr gut gefallen. Man sitzt draußen an der Straße sehr „urban“. Einige trinken ihr Feierabend-Bicchiere, der Wirt schlendert freundlich und tiefenentspannt zwischen seinen Gästen umher das Essen ist schmackhaft die eWeinkarte :) bietet eine kleine Auswahl bezahlbarer Flaschen. Danke an unsere Gastgeber Daniele und Martina für zwei erholsame Wochen.

Entspannte Ferien in Traumkulisse

Wir waren im August mit Kind (fast 5) und Oma eine Woche in Le Capanne. Die Unterkunft war supersauber, gemütlich und sehr gut ausgestattet, die Aussicht und die Gegend wirklich beeindruckend und der Vermieter äußerst sympatisch! Ob Panini-Service zum Frühstück oder diverse Restaurant-Tips, Daniele war für uns da! Der Garten ist wunderschön angelegt und der Pool war sauber und erfrischend mit ausreichend Liegen umgeben! Wir haben diese Woche alle sehr genossen und können Le Capanne nur empfehlen!

A little paradise in the wild Tuscany

End of May we spent one week in Le Capanne 1. We were 3 adults and one little child, 2 years old and we had space enough in that flat. There's one living room with open kitchen, one sleeping room (with bathroom) which could be closed and one stair higher there's another double bed with bathroom. The flat was very clean and gives space enough for all of us. The kitchen is fully equipped but don't forget to bring the essentials like sugar, salt, pepper, coffee etc. with you. In front of the entrance there is a big wooden table, fantastic for breakfast or dinner outside. In the mountain the Wifi is not the best but the connection is good enough. Le Capanne is about 10 km far away from Gallicano where you can find a big shopping centre. The street from there to Le Capanne is narrow and winding and you need at least 20-25 min. by car one way. The area around the houses (there are also Le Capanne 2, 3 and 4 built together) with the big pool is very neat and tidy. For adults it's very pleasant, a really location to find calm and recreation, little children could need some toys like a swing set or the possibility playing in a sand box. But we knew in advance that is was not in that place. When we arrived we were picked up at the shopping centre in Gallicano by Daniele Saisi, the owner of that holiday house, and he guided us to the location. He was very friendly and helped us giving tips for restaurants in the environment. We followed these recommendations and were absolutely not disappointed. Especially two restaurants are mentioned here, Il Totto in Sassi and L'Altana in Barga. There's no problem to make excursions from the house. The bigger cities, Lucca and Pisa, are reachable within one hour by car and especially the Old Town of Lucca is worth to be visited. All in all we enjoyed the stay in Le Capanne very much and could recommend this location at any time. It's sure we will come back.

Super location, super relax

Bellissima location. Curata, pulita, rilassante. Le Capanne sono un complesso veramente bello e ben tenuto, con un magnifico giardino, alberi da frutto, lavanda profumata. Sono andata con la mia famiglia (con una bambina di 3 anni) e siamo stati benissimo. Il padrone di casa, Davide, è persona ospitale e accogliente, sempre pronto a dare informazioni e suggerimenti per visitare la zona e coccolare i suoi ospiti...perfino portandoci le paste a colazione! Ve lo consiglio. Noi, spero, ci torneremo il prossimo anno!
