Spaciousness With A Twist
A very nice apartment . . . two bedrooms, nice airy kitchen, comfortable living room. Every room, except the bathroom of course, had a patio door with a small balcony. Bedrooms first. Good sizes. Mattresses were okay if you like them hard. We put a comforter under the sheet to soften ours. Kitchen was nice. Mismatched dishes and not much variety in the pot sizes available. The colander was rusty so it couldn’t be used. These are minor issues but point to the attention given by the owners. Living room was very nice with comfortable couch. Bathroom had a sewer smell but was fitted with modern fixtures. The darned toilet seat would not stay up when the male species had to go.The apartment is located at a busy intersection and traffic noise was an issue for us. Moreover, while extremely convenient, the apartment is right over a small market that opened at 0700 with trolleys rolling noisily over the cobbles. If you’re an early riser, this isn’t an issue. The agent was very accommodating allowing us to check in a couple of hours early. During the walk-through at check out, the agent was very concerned and took pictures of the deficiencies we noted (broken window shade and broken door knob, leaking shower hose, some of the walls needed a good scrubbing. Attention to detail could easily make this apartment a 5.
