Beautiful 1 bed Apt with heated pool/sauna/hot-tub/gym

This fabulous apartment is part of the luxury Estrela da Luz Resort with a sea view from the lounge, bedroom, and kitchen.

Included in the rental is the free use of the indoor pool, sauna, hot-tub (all heated and working all year round), gym, tennis court, 3 outside pools (heated mid Apr to mid Oct) and underground parking.

Estrela is situated in a quiet location in the centre of Praia da Luz and just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, restaurants & shops. (Rental License -128060/AL)

The apartment is luxurious and stylishly furnished and offers many special features:

- Large double bedroom which can be set up with a king size double bed or 2 single beds.
- Living room with dining/TV areas.
- Modern kitchen with Nespresso & filter coffee machines, dishwasher and washing machine
- Twin sink bathroom with integrated shower/bath.
- Up to 2 full size extra single beds or baby cot(s) can be added in the living room or bedroom for additional children or adults, up to a maximum occupancy of 4 people.
- 2 balconies (1 with a table and chairs & one with chair)
- Air-conditioning for cooling or heating is also fitted.
- There is a 65”/165cm smart TV with a paid Netflix account set up for your immediate use and a full range of international channels.
- High speed Wi-Fi.
- A bookcase (feel free to take any books home)
Free underground parking space.
- One of the outside swimming pools is for babies and toddlers (45cm - 60cm deep)
- In addition to the inside and outside pools, hot-tub, sauna & gym there is also a beauty treatment spa (please check availability prior to booking), access to a multi-purpose pitch for football/basketball as well as beautiful gardens in the resort.
- ‘Chiccas‘ is the main restaurant in Estrela da Luz and during the summer months there is also a pool bar open, serving drinks and snacks.

Lastly, the apartment's windows and balconies face onto the sea and are therefore not overlooking the pools/bar/restaurant areas, which makes it a very quiet location within the resort.

The internal size of the apartment (not including balconies) is 88 Square Metres / 950 Square foot.

Estrela is a fully gated complex which makes it extremely secure and child friendly.

There is a 24 hour/365 days reception, where staff will be happy to check you in whenever you arrive.

The apartment is easily accessible by wheelchair (single level) and to the other floors.

Please also note that as a host we are legally mandated by Portuguese/EU law to provide visitors’ passport/national ID information to the Portuguese Border Control Authority SEF (Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiros). In order to do this, we will require a copy of everyone’s passport or national ID card (including children) who are staying in the apartment, prior to their arrival at Estrela da Luz.

Friendly host and lovely apartment

Michael is a great host. He provided loads of information on the area and warm duvets as the weather was cold at first. Well equipped and clean apartment with the benefit of Estrela resort facilities. We’ve already rebooked!

Beautiful apartment in Luz

We loved our stay at Estrela da Luz! It is a very beautiful resort with lots of space in the apartment and many lovely pools to chose from. The hosts are very nice and communicative and offered to help at any moment. It was also a very cheap Uber ride to Lagos, which made it very easy to explore the Algarve. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you Helene and Michael!

Fabulous apartment

Myself and a friend had a great stay at this apartment in Luz. Apartment was spotless on arrival and very spacious and modern. Facilities were fantastic in the complex with lots to do - gym, several pools (catering to both adults only and young families), tennis court Apartment was in a great location, a short walk from Luz beach, town centre and a local supermarket. Communication with host Michael was excellent - very professional and prompt throughout. 5/5 across the board and would definitely stay again!

Algarve Luz Stay

My wife and I loved our stay at the Estrela da Luz resort apartment. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The resort had decent ammenities. The town is quiet yet quant with eateries, market, and beach nearby. Loved the area compared to other cities around Algarve. The only negative and reason with did not rate as 5 star is the comfort of the bed. We would stay at this property again but if stay were long term would need something a bit more comfortable to sleep on. Lastly, hosts were outstanding and easy to work with and concerned with needs.

Hi Dean, Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review and we are very happy that you and your wife, really enjoyed your time in our apartment and at the Estrela resort. Thank you also for your kind comments about us 😊. We are however very sorry to hear that you had a problem with the bed. We completely accept that there is of course an element of personal preference with some people preferring beds on the softer end of scale and others on the harder end. This was why we chose to install high quality medium firmness mattresses from a local company that supplies beds to hotels. We have two (almost identical) rental apartments in the Estrela resort, both with exactly the same beds/mattresses and we have over 140 reviews between them, averaging more than 4.9 out of 5. Most of our guests comment on how comfortable the beds are and love that they are king size. We also have numerous guests who return each year and also a number of long-term renters, who book during the winter season and frequently come back the next year! Again, these people tend to say that one of the reasons why they really like our apartments is precisely because of the comfort and size of our beds. It is extremely important to us that all of our guests are as comfortable as possible in our apartments and because of this, we always contact the guest the day after they arrive, to check if everything is satisfactory with the apartment. We always do this on the second day, as by then the guest will have slept in the bed, used the kitchen/shower etc. You may remember that we sent you a message the day after you arrived, and you replied saying that ‘everything was great’. We only wish that you had mentioned the bed to us then, as we frequently install additional full size single beds (which can be made into a king size double) in the lounge, when we accommodate 3 or 4 people in the apartment. We purposely chose softer mattresses for these beds, as they are frequently used by children and if we had known that you felt that the bed was too firm, we would have happily changed the bedroom mattresses over to these ones. Anyway, we would again like to thank you for the booking and we’re are very pleased that you enjoyed your time in Praia da Luz and the surrounding area. Thanks and kind regards, Michael & Helene

Amazing apartment

Perfect apartment for us. With a 3 and a 5 year old the toddler pool was great for them to play in (as they did most mornings). We got a boat trip for Lagos and Portimoa which are both east to get to from Luz. The beach within walking distance of the apartment was also great. The host was always quick to respond and provided great information before our stay and reached out during to make sure everything was going well. Can't rate, the host, the apartment or the complex any higher.

Family Holiday

We stayed as 2 adults and 2 children (aged 8 and 6). The apartment is really spacious and conveniently located for a short walk to Praia da Luz. We hired a car and the underground parking space was a great addition to keep the car cool. Michael was a fantastic host. Easy to contact via email and really accommodating with our requests. Estrela da Luz is a well maintained complex that has a number of amenities you have access to including an indoor pool and a gym as well as a few outdoor pools. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Can't wait to return

Lovely property with a great balcony for sitting on for breakfast or in the evening. We love the resort where there are loads of things to do and you are only 5 minutes from the sea front, fabulous walks, ice cream, drinks and lots of places to eat. Great communication from Michael before our stay including really useful information on the property as well as things to do in the area, local restaurants, transportation and the like.

We are a British/German couple who moved to the Algarve in 2009, with our two young children, after falling in love with the area. Ever since moving to Portugal we have not only grown fond of the friendly welcoming nature of the Portuguese people but also the incredible life style of living by the Sea. The sun (over 300 days of sunshine each year) & stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean are still jaw-dropping, even after all these years and we have been able to explore the area and its numerous attractions and places of interest with great pleasure. We love having a beach picnic as much as dining out at one of our favourite local restaurants & we are sure that you will too!

We purchased the property, because we just love the quiet and picturesque location of Praia da Luz. Being demanding travellers ourselves, we wanted something that offered all of the luxuries that are needed, to make a holiday very special & after a very long and thorough search, we found an apartment in Estrela da Luz, that literally ticked all of the boxes.

We really do feel that our apartment is very special & enjoy it for a host of reasons - it’s luxurious, very spacious, has sea views from the lounge, kitchen & bedroom, there is access to all of Estrela’s facilities - heated pools, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Gym, tennis courts, gardens & it’s only a short walk to the beach & all local amenities - Restaurants, supermarkets, shops etc. It is very comfortable all year round, with air-conditioning & heating……yes, even though the sun is always close by, it can still be a little chilly in January! We also appreciate the special little touches, such as free parking & wifi, lots of space for kids beds/toys etc, a 24 hour reception & last but not least, a decent sized TV to relax in front of with a glass of wine, after a long ‘hard’ day at the beach :-)
