Beautiful Retreat

This was a beautiful retreat from busy days and nights in Paris. Bright, cheery and well appointed. Beds were comfortable,nice linens and towels. Location was great. It’s in a lovely area, convenient to shops and metros. The corner is bustling at times, fun to people watch and good windows and curtains to cut out the noise and light when you want to. Highly recommend

Neighborhood great...apartment so so

It was listed (and priced) as luxury rental for up to 10 adults. Thankfully, there were only 4 adults - and only 4 days for that overlap! The bathroom/toilet situation was quite unclear on site - from first hand, please note: 1. There are ONLY TWO toilets...ignore the other logos. Only one of these is in a bathroom and actually adjacent to a bedroom. 2. One of the bathrooms listed is a clawed tub and sink INSIDE a bedroom- not a separate room, it is next to the bed. It is listed w a fully equipped kitchen. There were three cutting knives - a bread knife and two paring knives, and the latter two were so dull, they were butter knives essentially. We had to purchase paper towels and detergent for cleaning, although bathrooms did have toiletries. There were no baking sheets, foil, or similar to really cook. The fridge was at least huge. The heater was challenging in that it seemed to have a cutoff for energy savings - great idea but in the middle of the night was less than ideal. Communications were quick from host - and appreciated the communication in English for clarity. Entry direction and access was super. But I am 14 days + returned and still having discussions on deposit refund which is frustrating. While a nice property, and a convenient location, it did not live up to the price or the VRBO expectation when we have rented with luxury in the description.

Perfect for a larger group, off the beaten track in a good way

This wonderful 4 bedroom condo is a 3 minute walk to the Bastille metro stop and in the middle of a lovely, walkable neighborhood that has everything you need for a stay in Paris! Easy to get to all attractions (although we used Uber a lot!) with wonderful patisseries, restaurants, cafes and markets a short walk. Apartment is very comfortable - although a short walk up about 15 uneven stairs is necessary to enter the apartment. Working with Merveil is very easy and questions are answered almost immediately. Bedrooms are smaller than they appear on the site - they all have double beds and wardrobes. They are all pretty tight but beds are comfortable!! Bathrooms are tricky: one bedroom has a shower and sink( no toilet) and one bedroom has a tub and sink in it (a little weird). There are three hall bathrooms - one with shower, sink and toilet; one with shower and sink; one with toilet and sink. So for our family of 9, we only had two toilets in hall bathrooms, which was fine. The living room/kitchen area is very large and my 6 foot tall nephew fit just fine on the living room pull out. We did have to buy some cleaning products (soaps, paper towels, toilet paper) but each bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Shower in the hall bathroom with the toilet is awesome; other hall bathroom shower not so much - hand held has no hook. Overall, even with the bathroom weirdness, we would stay here again given location and overall ease and comfort of the condo!!

Very nice apartment, great location, just as advertised. Owners are very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Some luxury mansions and palaces once owned by Paris most nobles’ families from the 17th century are to be seen in the quiet and ungentrified neighborhood of Le Marais.
