Looe, Fowey, and Polperro are 15 miles to the south, while Padstow and Polzeath are a pleasant drive to the north. Sailing, fishing, and watersports are available at Siblyback Lake. Bodmin Moor offers excellent hiking. The Eden Project is 15 miles away, and Plymouth is 30 minutes by car or train from Liskeard. This is an excellent holiday base with the Barbican harbour district, aquarium, and shopping, restaurants, and theatres.
