Tourmalet is a comfortable renovated gîte in an 18th-century bergerie in the beautiful Campan Valley. It is one of 2 gîtes that make up Les Granges des Hautes-Pyrénées. This rental is perfect for sports lovers, with famous Tour de France cols, hiking & skiing (15 min to La Mongie) on the doorstep. Also, ideal for visiting market towns, thermal spas & relaxing. Enjoy underfloor heating, modern appliances, fast WIFi, bbq & and garden. Baby equipment available. Village 3 min & Bagnères-de-Bigorre 15 min.
This old stone-wall gîte comfortably sleeps 4 people, with the bedrooms able to be configured as super-king doubles or twin rooms.

Provided for your stay (free of charge):
Bedroom - quality cotton bedding with all beds made up for your arrival. Just advise us of your requirements ahead of time.
Bathroom -fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap and toilet paper.
Kitchen - oil, pepper, salt, a few spices, tea bags, sugar and coffee beans. Plus some cleaning products such as detergent, dishwasher tablets etc.

Note: A baby travel cot, baby bath, high chair and stair gate can be provided upon request.

INSIDE
Downstairs:
* Kitchen equipped with a fridge, cooker, dishwasher, 4 person raclette machine, toaster, kettle and a new bean to cup coffee machine.
* Some basic cooking supplies are supplied, such as oil, pepper, salt, spices, tea coffee beans and sugar.
* Breakfast bar with 2 bar stools.
* Dining table seating 4 people.
* Comfortable lounge with a 2 seater couch, 2 armchairs and a generous sized wall-mounted new smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.

Upstairs:
* The front-facing bedroom views the lawn/stream and enjoys the daytime sun. This can be set up as a super-king or twin room.
* Enjoy quality cotton bedding, mattress and topper for a restful night's sleep. Beds are made up ready for your arrival, just let us know your requirements.
*A dresser, wardrobe stand, hairdryer, mirror, bedside cabinets, lamps and a radiator complete this room.
* The back-facing bedroom has pretty rural and mountain views.
* It can also be set up either as a twin or super-king room with quality bedding, mattress and topper. A dresser, hairdryer, mirror, bedside cabinets lamps and a radiator complete this room.

* The bathroom has a rainfall shower/handheld combo outlet, sink and toilet. We provide ample fluffy quality towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap and toilet paper.

OUTSIDE
* Enjoy dining on the terrace at the front of the gîte. A gas bbq and sun loungers are also here for your use.
* A picnic table and a hammock are located in a higher area of the shared garden. Here you have beautiful views of the neighbouring mountains (1600m+ altitude ) to the side and behind the gîte.
* A small stream runs alongside the property. This has been popular with children, who enjoy playing in this area in the summer.
Guest access:
* Shared utility room. Here there is a dedicated bike storage space (up to 6 bikes). Plus a washing machine and drying racks.
* Parking for 2 cars.
Other things to note:
Your hosts (Natasha and Kev) live in the building next door. This faces in a different direction to the cottages and is behind a row of trees. It has a separate garden, terrace and parking.
During your stay you can meet our friendly Rasta cat as she loves to explore and say hello! We keep our dogs away from children and in our fenced yard.
A good restaurant is located just 400 m from the cottages. It is open during the tourist season.
Sainte Marie de Campan is the closest village. It is 3 minutes by car or 15/20 minutes on foot. There you will find a mini market, a bar, a bakery, a pizzeria and another local restaurant.
