GARTH GILL, family friendly, with open fire in Hawes
Garth Gill in Garsdale can sleep six people in three bedrooms.
The living space includes a kitchen housing a range cooker, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, utility with washing machine, a sitting room with woodburning stove, Smart TV and dining area. The bedrooms consist of two doubles and a twin, served by a shower room. To the outside is a lawned garden and ample off-road parking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in rent. This property does not accept pets or smoking. Within 7.3 miles there is a shop, 1.9 miles there is a pub. Garth Gill is a splendid retreat in a peaceful location.
Amenities: (type) central heating with woodburning stove. Range cooker and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine. Smart TV, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. In rent. Bed linen and towels inc. In rent. Ample off-road parking. Lawned garden. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 7.3 miles. Please do not charge your car at the property, there is plenty of local car charging points. The nearest is in Hawes. Please note: this property can't accept 1-night stays.
Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Town: Hawes is a popular market town in North Yorkshire's Richmondshire region and a tourism hotspot in Yorkshire Dales National Park. The town is a good base for exploring Wensleydale, Swaledale, Cotterdale, Dentdale, Garsdale, Wharfedale, and Chapel-le-Dale. Walk the Hawes Town Trail, Millennium Walk, Pennine Way, or River Ure. Hawes won "Best Day Trip" from the English Tourist Board in 1998. Modern traffic has replaced coaches and horse-drawn waggons on its small streets, but market day (Tuesdays) in Hawes is as busy as ever, with a farmers' auction bringing sheep farmers from throughout northern England. Traditional stores, cafés, and inns serve Dales visitors and locals. The award-winning Wensleydale Creamery, made famous by Wallace and Grommit, is now open to guests who can see the cheese being made and sample it in a café. National Park Centre and Dales Countryside Museum are in the old station yard. Marie Hartley and Joan Ingilby collected Dales artefacts for the Museum.
