Located in a 15th Century townhouse « Studio 26 » is a fabulous newly renovated apartment for two and/or gallery/retail space with incorporated accommodation centrally located on a road adjacent to The Place du Forum in the bustling heart of the old town of Arles. "Studio 26" is surrounded by high-end galleries, restaurants, concept stores and antiques shops. In addition to an apartment and/or commercial space on two levels (ground floor and cellar) there is accommodation fitted out in a mirrored "glass box" comprising a fully equipped designer kitchen, an "Italian" combined shower/toilet with luxury fittings and a bedroom with a double bed of 160X190cm or two single beds of 80X190cm . The bedroom is accessed by a fixed spiral hand-forged metal staircase.
The ground floor has 4m high ceilings with the original wooden beams. The vaulted cellar is a hidden treasure; it is a multi-functional space - an ideal « chill out » zone for an aperitif after a long day in the sun (Fatboy provided!), a quiet work space or a perfect location for an exhibition/client meeting. Access to the cellar is via a steep staircase, under a Roman arch. The stairs are equipped with metal handrails from top to bottom. If necessary, the entrance to the cellar can be closed with a metal trap door that acts as a floor. Additional furnishings comprise a dining table/desk, 4 Kartell Master chairs, a clothes hanger, two lounge chairs with a terrazzo side table, various lamps and storage baskets/boxes.
The commercial space is equipped with a picture hanging system (picture rails plus rods and hooks) and ERCO commercial lighting. If you want to adjust the lighting there is also a a folding ladder with 4 steps.
On request and availability (contact us) you can rent the whole house - Apartment 26 + Studio 26 - giving you the possibility of accommodating 6 people in 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, 2 toilets and 2 kitchens.
Other things to note:
The narrow and steep 15th century spiral staircase to the cave and the metal spiral staircase to the bedroom are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues and cannot and should not be used by young children without supervision.
An old town vehicle access badge is provided for the duration of your stay

For stays of 4 nights or more a change of linen and towels is possible on request (at an additional cost)
Beach towels and dressing gowns are also available (at an additional cost).
