Villa Wisteria, It's all about the view!

Oasis of privacy, unique view, standalone house with pool. You’ll love my place because of the views, , the cosiness, privacy. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
Even you feel you are at "End of the World" , your neighbourhood is lively, lot of fantastic wineries around, great restaurants/eateries. You can visit oliveoil producers, go truffel hunt in the season. Medieval cities of Motovun, Groznjan, Buzet are close and you go swimming in the adriatic sea in just 15-20 minutes.
The village is only accessible by car. Starting from the near town of Buzet, drive approx. 10 km towards Motovun. At the sign ‘Vrh’ turn left. Take the second left after approx 1.5km at the sign ‘Cernehov brijeg’. Drive up the hill for another 1km and turn left at the next sign ‘Cernehov brijeg’. Drive all the way to the end of the village, the last house right in front of you is the one you are looking for! Welcome!

Impressive Hilltop Villa

It was the gorgeous pool and garden overlooking the hilly landscape that took us our breath away. Felt like real luxury to be able to chill by the pool in the late afternoon / evening or having breakfast on the covered veranda with view of Motovun. Definitely our most memorable experience in Istria.

Wonderful holiday in Istria

We had a lovely holiday in Villa Wisteria! The property was as described in the listing. Upstairs living space is small, but we spent most of time on the veranda enjoying the amazing views. Bedrooms in the lower level were kept cool and we only needed a couple of days with the air-condition unit on. Ivan was incredibly responsive to all our concerns and questions. I would highly recommend Villa Wisteria to a family looking for a relaxing holiday house. There are a few things that I would suggest to improve the guest experience. Ivan left us some wonderful Istria wine when we arrived. This was very much appreciated; however, it would have been nice if we had some breakfast supplies (coffee, milk, croissants eat) as we had just traveled from American and were very exhausted. The kitchen has a Martello coffee machine. Unfortunately, this is an Italian machine and the pods are not available to the local grocery stores. I would suggest either supplying the pods or providing a machine that guest to purchase pods more easily. The pool was a wonderful respite from the afternoon heat that we appreciated. We purchased some pool toys (left in the laundry room). I would suggest having some pool toys stored for guest with children.

Beautiful Views of Istria

In order to see a beautiful view it’s necessary to climb the hill.. The property is some 5 km‘s away from the nearest village with a shop or cafe.. We managed just fine in our large Vehicle, all asphalt roads apart from the last 50m. The locals all have normal cars. The property is at the end of a small hamlet of 10 or so small houses and is largely uninhabited, there is a local couple from the hamlet who care for the house and changed the sheets each week and cleaned. They are very kind and we managed via non verbal communication and a Shared love of dogs.. The property itself was clean and tidy, however it was evident that previous guests had not left cutlery and plates clean. Of course the local area is famous as the Trüffel Valley of Istria and to hunt truffles, you need Trüffel hounds, there are plenty of them in the local area to be heard, and also in the hamlet.. We found plenty of walks for our dog with magnificent views, and the property has sunrises and sunsets that will be hard to beat in other places in the world. Motovun town is 10 minutes by car, and Buzet is 20 minutes by car with a large supermarket. We travelled to Pula and it’s an hour South. The pool area is now paved all around really well done and the saltwater pool has a beautiful dark blue hue, and was a real treat for the time we were there and the temperatures were over 30*c there is also a garden shower. Air conditioning was also beneficial in the living room and both bedrooms. The cottage is functional but not super luxury, and we loved to sit out on the balcony watching the sunrise and sunset.. of course for a single teenager we had our challenges with the location, but inevitably the internet was important in this department, it was also functioning well.. Northern Istria is a developing area, it looks good for the future.

Unglaublich schön!!!

Es war einfach perfekt. Wenn dir die Fotos gut gefallen dann wirst du die Unterkunft noch mehr lieben. Die Aussicht ist breathtaking!!!!! Der Host ist unglaublich nett und gastfreundlich. Wir haben echt nichts auszutzen.

Schönes Haus mit tollen Blick

Haus ist etwas 10min von Motovun entfernt und für alle die es ruhig wollen genau richtig. Das Haus hat eine mega Aussicht auf das Tal. Die Ausstattung im Haus selber ist absolut zweckmäßig und man findet alles notwendige vor. Die Außenanlage mit Pool entspricht den Bildern. Der Pool ist ein Salzwasserpool was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Kleines Manko sind die holzplanken am Pool. Diese sehen toll aus, allerdings Vorsicht beim barfuß laufen, da Holzsplitter Gefahr.

An Istrian heaven

We had a gorgeous time in this spacious and comfortable home. The pool was sparkling clean and in a stunning position. We visited many local sights. The road in is challenging but manageable so a small car is better. There is an excellent supermarket not far but no local shops so stock up including dish and clothes washing supplies. Be sure to visit Motovun and consider the shuttle bus and park in the lower car park which is easier than the drive up and finding a car park. This is a wonderful area to explore and truffle heaven.

Great view and quiet

Stayed 2 weeks in July. Great 210 degrees view of the Valley and Motovun. Very quiet indeed - of course the barking dogs which seems to be a given in southern Europe is there, but otherwise nothing. Upstairs a kitchen, living room and smal bathroom and acess to coveret deck. Downstairs two large bedrooms Rachel with their own bathroom, one with tub, the other with shower. One bedroom has direct access to the pool deck.
