At low tide, Gorran Haven's little sand beach connects with the larger Great Perhaver beach, making it a popular destination for families. The National Trust owns a large portion of the shoreline in this area, and the South West Coast Path goes through Gorran Haven, making it easily accessible. The 370-foot-high Dodman Point, which rises above Gorran and is considered one of Cornwall's most stunning headlands and the site of numerous shipwrecks, is also within walking distance. Views of Veryan Bay and Vault Beach can be seen from its gorse-covered peaks. To get to Mevagissey, you can take the coastal path to the town's harbour.
