Great location; great host

We had a realy nice stay! The location is quite and peacefull. By car it’s not far to Ericeira and all the nice hangouts there. Places like Sines, Cascais and Lisboa are 30 - 60 minutes driving. Carlos is an really nice and friendly host.

A great place to stay

This is a lovely villa, quiet and remote but only a short drive to some brilliant surfing beaches. Carlos our host was extremely helpful, meeting us late at night when we arrived and helping us when we accidentally locked ourselves out. We particularly enjoyed the games room having pool and table football tournaments and the beds were very comfortable. A lovely place for a holiday.

A lovely and relaxing family holiday

We really enjoyed our holiday. The house was perfect and the children enjoyed the garden and pool very much. It is really close to some lovely beaches and the towns of Mafra and Ericeira. A car is a must as it is remote but with a car everything is easily accessible. Carlos was a great host and greeted us on arrival and gave us lots of tips. He was always happy to help if we had a question.

Lovely!

We really enjoyed our stay at your lovely cottage. The house is nicely decorated, the rooms are spacious and everything you need is available. The garden is large and beautiful. Supermarkets are nearby and Sintra, Ericeira and Cascais are worth a visit. We will definite recommend your house to our family and friends. Thank you so much for you warm welcome & hospitality

Excellent property

We had very good times in this property. The villa and the large garden are excellent, equipement is very good (kitchen, A/C, wifi, barbecue, swimming pool, garage with a pool table and other games, etc.). We had a perfect communication with Conceicao and warm a welcome. There is a weekly cleaning and even more frequent for the pool cleaning. We are a bit disappointed by the local climate at the time of our stay, but this is of course not related to the villa. There was a lot of wind, a partly cloudy weather, while at the same time in Lisbon it was warm. As a consequence the ocean and pool were quite cold. Perhaps this is bad luck because of the period (second part of August). Meanwhile, the villa is perfectly situated, close to Mafra and the very nice Ericeira. There is a lof of supermarkets around, and the village Sobreiro has also some convenient stores. Also, the place is ideal and central for biking and running.

Lovely rustic house in quiet surroundings

Hosts Carlos and Conceição welcomed us when we arrived and showed us around and were very helpful and informative. We had 2 young children so they went off exploring as soon as we arrived. The house was really lovely and the garden was just big enough for our 2 energetic kids and the pool was nice on a hot day. (Can be quite chilly if the pool has been in the shade for too long so heating would be nice) The rear garden also has a small lemon grove and apple trees. We all enjoyed the games room which is downstairs and we made use of the beach equipment too. It is a perfect location for peace and quiet amongst the lemon groves, you hear the odd farm vehicle now and then. Mafra itself was very nice with its beautiful palace and gardens, and the town was nice with cafes, restaurants and shops. We also found a brilliant sports park with tennis, basketball, volleyball and football courts, as well as an outdoor swimming pool, fantastic sprawling children's playground and lots of grassy areas for playing and lazing and a running track around the park, and indoor gym so for the athletic in you this is a great place. It is a good base for visiting Ericeria, Lisbon, Obidos and Sintra. - if you want a quiet safe beach go to Foz de Aerlho (Obidos lagoon). Unfortunately the gas bottle ran out during dinner but a quick call and Conceição was there with the gas man to replace the bottle within 30 mins. The kids bought Football t-shirts and loved seeing Sporting FC stadium from the plane when we left. So thank you to Carlos and Conceição for a lovely stay and the lemons and apples. We werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen. In de keuken zijn alle benodigdheden aanwezig. We hebben er een heerlijke vakantieweek doorgebracht. Het is een kwatier rijden naar de kust, waar gesurfd kan worden. Een aanrader. De andere kant op, naar Lissabon, is met een half uur naar metrostation Pontinha ook heel goed te doen.

Vacances au calme

La maison est au calme idéal pour se reposer et pas de vis à vis A proximité d Ericeira pour surfer ou se balader. Lisbone est à 1 heure environ . Le propriétaire est joignable très facilement et répond à nos besoins rapidement , et parle très bien anglais. Le Wifi très rapide , on peut même travailler 🤔. ( fibre) Équipement complet Le moins : Véhicule indispensable bien sûr. Électricité un brin capricieuse mais le gérant nous a réglé ça en 15 min . Il faut minimum 15 jours pour appréhender le secteur car beaucoup de chose à voir.

Un excellent séjour

Propriétaires vraiment bienveillants qui sont aux petits soins pour que vous passiez un bon séjour ! Maison très agréable, grande, bien conçue et entourée de champs de citronniers. La piscine et la cuisine extérieure sont un réel plus qui permettent de belles soirées. Elle est idéalement située : à seulement 10min du centre de Ericeira. Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre séjour dans cette maison. Merci pour tout !

Super rustic villa in a very quite location with a spacious garden. No neighbouring properties.

The villa was a great location for peace and relaxation. When we arrived we had a lovely welcome gift of local bread, local marmalade and wine with an explanation of the recommended restaurants to visit in the area. We totally relaxed here. Pool is great for children. The owner was on hand for any questions regarding the villa or the surrounding area. The villa village is very quiet with Ericeira 10mins drive which has everything. The beach at Foz do Lizandro had everything and was great for families with calm river water raging surf and cafes along the beach. The beaches are very well looked after. We would do this again.
