The Lakehouse is a contemporary glass fronted lakeside home set in 550 acres of private & beautiful Nature Reserve. It has excellent onsite facilities & activities, with luxury spa access, swimming pools, watersports, bike hire, tennis, fishing, restaurant, bar & pizza shack.

Sleeping up to 8 in 3/4 x bedrooms & 3x bathrooms. 2x double ensuites, 1x twin bedroom & snug with double sofa bed & 55" Smart TV. The open plan living area leads to decking area with panoramic views of Somerford Lagoon.

Lower Mill Estate - On-site Facilities & Activities:

• 550 acres of private Nature Reserve, including seven Lakes & three Rivers
• Excellent Water Sports - Paddle boarding, kayak, canoe & rowing boats
• Somerford Lagoon can only be used for non-powered water sports between the 1st of April and the 30th of September
• In order to minimise disturbance to overwintering wildfowl, the footpaths to the Southern and Eastern edge of Somerford Lagoon are not accessible from the 1st of October to the 31st of March
• Spinney Lake is available for non-powered water sports all year.

Short family stay

Fabulous break with a large family group over two’s properties. The outlook was lovely and the sunrises spectacular over the lake. The house was equiped with everything you could need and the amenities around the site were ample, including pub/cafe/ outdoor pool/ play area. Would definitely return. The only downside was others taking your allocated parking space.

All positives

Excellent facilities on site and as we stayed during school term time everything was really quiet. On site restaurant has quite limited menu but the food was extremely good. Spa was excellent and our treatments, whilst expensive, were wonderful. The accommodation was also excellent. It was handy for everything, had an outstanding view and was really well stocked. We visited local towns and villages - particularly loved Cirencester for its independent shops. A great break all round!

Lower mill estate

We’ve been to this estate before so we know how beautiful it is, such an incredible holiday! The only issue is that the listing stated that the property was 4 bedrooms and when we arrived one of those bedrooms had a sofa bed, as I have 3 children it was all a bit of a squeeze! It was fine in the end. The one thing I would say is that whilst the property was beautiful and the location stunning (excellent addition was the lake access directly from the property, eventually when they had cut the brambles back a little!) but the storage in the children's bedrooms (the twin and the snug) was really lacking. There wasn't really enough space to put all of their clothes, we ended up having them all in the second double room. The air conditioning was a lovely addition! Thank you for a lovely holiday, it was just a shame about the 4th bedroom!

Lovely place to stay

We stayed for a long weekend, it was great having the lake right in front of the accommodation so the kids could go out in the kayaks anytime they wanted during the day and we could join them or watch from the balcony. The house is extremely well equipped, and beds were comfy. The staff on the lower mill estate were fantastic, very friendly and made everything really easy. Having the Swimming pools, restaurant and other facilities on site was a huge advantage as it felt safe to let the teenagers have fun with a little independence. Would definitely recommend.
