All on one level, there’s an open plan living area with underfloor heating, a large bedroom – super-king or twins - and a stunning bathroom with both a bath and walk-in shower. Historic Walker's Rest Cottage is located in one of Derbyshire's most stunning valleys, nestled under High Wheeldon. Breathtaking, with space to breathe, we guarantee vistas with every visit, along with an honesty shop, general store containing anything you may or may not have forgotten, luxury White Company toiletries, the highest of thread counts and the fluffiest towels, EV charging, free use of our electric bikes, our own roasted High Wheeldon Rising fresh coffee, super-fast zooming and delicious food and drink deliveries straight to your cottage from our partnership with Sauced Here. New for 2022 is a refurbished games room with pool table and air hockey.

Peaceful place which is very modern and superbly equipped

Clean, quiet and very well equipped. There is all the utensils and crockery you need to cook your own meals. Bed very comfortable, and great walks from the cottage. Lovely touch is there are plenty of food staples to buy should you have forgotten anything, as shops a few miles away. Would definitely return!

Countryside Dream!

Stunning property! We stayed for two nights in Walkers Rest cottage, it was very comfortable and had all the comforts of home. Our welcome package was much appreciated and we enjoyed the local products included. Surrounding area was so picturesque. One evening we walked (approx 40mins) to the Royal Oak Pub for a delicious meal and a few pints, and the next morning we went for a jog in the area & local footpaths. Lots of farm animals directly surrounding the property, the sounds of the cows and sheep at night lulled us to sleep. Having laundry facilities on site was so convenient, as well the little shop.Definitely recommend hiking the Mam Tor if you’re staying in the area, as well as checking out the Monsal Trail (we rented e-bikes at the Blackwell Mill Cycle Hire and rode to Bakewell for a tart and cider then cycled back - such a beautiful trail with many places to stop for sightseeing/grub, one of the highlights of our UK trip!)Would highly recommend making your countryside dreams come true at Wheeldon Tree Cottages!

We gave up corporate life in 2021 for a more wholesome outdoors adventure. Steve was in housebuilding and Hazel owned a PR and advertising agency. We live just down the road in Ashbourne but are a phone call away if you need us.

この宿泊施設の特徴

We’ve tried our best to ensure all you need to do is turn up. Our sheets are Egyptian cotton, our towels are fluffy and white. From olive oil in the kitchen to luxury toiletries hand-made locally for us, we have tried to think of everything. We love travelling ourselves, so all we have done is try to cover everything we would need. Add in historic chocolate-box cottages and stunning scenery – we think we have the perfect Peak District spot.
