The local area offers a great choice of activities to enjoy with the beautiful town of Lancaster around 5 minutes’ drive away. Take a step back in time visiting the wonderful Lancaster Castle or Maritime Museum, or maybe a sedate canal cruise. The shopping is great, and you can finish the day off with a visit to the cinema or bowling. Also nearby is Carnforth the Home of West Coast railways which offers trips using classic and modern diesels and historic steam locomotives, also close by there are wildlife parks, stately homes and gardens or for something different, try watching the mayhem of stock car racing!
