Villa Orange is a traditionally build, brand new and spotlessly clean villa located along a narrow street in the hamlet of Myli, at a 30 minutes’ walk from Skopelos town. It has a huge garden with fruit trees and herbs and the friendly owners regularly supplied us with fruits and vegetables from their garden. There are a few neighboring houses, but the area is very quiet. Above the villa, the street turns into a walking track that leads into the mountains. The interior spaces of the villa are relatively small, but spotlessly clean and all equipment you may need is available. The pool area behind the house is large and protected from the winds by the house and a row of impressive cypresses, which was nice during some windy days, but made us flee to Skopelos’ beautiful beaches on hot days. The terrace with BQ and dining table on the second floor of the villa has great views on Skopelos, but is somewhat “barren” and we soon preferred the more intimate dining area under the orange trees near the swimming pool. One aspect of the villa that took us some time to get used to, was the lack of a connection between the interior spaces and the pool area other than via the front door of the house, located at the side of the parking lot. This is probably the result of the traditional building style, but we would have loved to have a view on the pool area and garden directly from the living room (the windows that one sees on the pictures of the pool area are those of the utility room). In summary: a nice villa with very friendly and helpful owners in a excellent location that has a small number of characteristics that prevent us from giving the full 5 stars, but that other visitors probably find irrelevant.
