Wonderful location! Nothing beats sipping coffee on the back deck! Home is a bit dated and worn but all of the essential amenities are there. I would highly recommend!

The property and its views were perfect. Great family getaway. The Team st Stubbs were very responsive to some minor needs that we had, including swapping out the grille on short notice.

This is a beautiful property! Walk in and you will immediately feel welcomed… towels shaped into nesting swans on the beds… travel-size kits for every need in the kitchen and bathrooms (shampoos, lotions, soaps, etc) …. Beach towels, beach chairs, surf boards, deck chairs and table with sun umbrella. Views views views !!!! Ocean views too beautiful to be described . The perfect place to watch the sunset. We expected to rent bikes but everything is within walking distance. And the area is so lovely I couldn’t stop taking pictures, so I was glad to be on foot. Each beach is unique . Visit them all and then head home to this sanctuary spot!

The view is incredible! Nothing beats hearing the waves coming in through all of your open windows. Place has been updated and having a BBQ is key. Close to walking to downtown Encinitas, restaurants and beaches. The reason for not giving 5 stars is the refrigerator leaks all the time and so you constantly need to be swapping out towels to absorb it. The leak is pulling up the flooring and can lead to mold. This is the owners problem however Stubbs reality was very quick to remedy when dishwasher and dryer broke. They also delivered more towels for the leak. We will definitely stay here again and hope that the owner will prioritize replacing the fridge/floor.

Heat Relief

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is great. Dog friendly a requirement for us. But, the fridge is on the fritz. We have meds that require constant 37°. The fridge has a 10° various from top shelf to bottom shelf. Had to turn control to 10 and only found one location at 38°. Then the fridge condensed and ran water on the door. Based on the floorboards cracked warped beneath, this has been a long term issue. I'd dry out the floor and replace the fridge before you get a structural issue. Anyway, the maintenance crew for that and garage door were responsive and terrific. All in all a great vacation with a few significant glitches.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fabulous location! Deck views are spectacular. We had a couple questions for the rental company and they were very responsive. Be aware the unit does not have a/c. I overlooked that in the description. There were towels for each bathroom, however no extra towels- this would be a nice addition to the condo. There were also no beach towels - again another convenience which would have been helpful. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans. No cookie sheet though and a few kitchen supplies would be helpful. For example foil, plastic wrap extra garbage bags. The unit was clean and the furniture was very comfortable. Out side could have beenleaf blown and tidied up a bit. The garage was very convenient for parking.

The location couldn't be better! The ocean view is enough to take your breath away! Fantastic!! Sitting on the deck and watching the waves was so relaxing. The neighborhood was quiet and the garage parking made things easy. The house is close to everything and walking distance to the beach access.

Leucadia seaside getaway

Great views, ideal location for Beacon's and Stone Steps beaches. Watched dolphins and surfers from the deck and upstairs balcony. Walking distance to beaches, Vigilucci's Trattoria, Birdseye Kitchen, Pannikin coffee. Responsive property manager for easy planning, check in, and checkout. Plenty of towels and amenities made it very comfortable.

It was mostly perfect with the setup, location, and ocean views.The only knock on this place is the photos make it seem much more upscale and updated than it is. But the large deck looking over the ocean and floor to ceiling windows were worth it. Being walking distance to the beach, coffee shops and restaurants was amazing. Plus Legoland is just down the street and so is much of San Diego.

View and location was great. House was clean. On the negative side, 3 rolls of cheap toilet paper provided only for a 3 bathroom house, zero beach equipment provided, like beach chairs, etc. How do you have a house on the ocean with no beach equipment. Really disappointing

The kitchen appliances, dish washer, coffee maker were sub-par. all the knives were too dull to use. When we arrived there was a film on every surface, the floors were dirty, however, the problem was remedy fairly quickly with a good clean. over-all it was a good rental but has the potential to be a great rental. we would consider renting it again if some of things mentioned above were updated.

Leucadia Ocean Front Paradise

Waking up and going to bed to the sounds of the ocean each day and night were unforgettable. The property location is amongst million dollar homes and prime real estate location in Leucadia. Many places to eat close by whether you want Italian, Coffee, Ice Cream, Deli, Sandwiches. It’s also very close to Carlsbad since we took our son to LegoLand - 15min drive. We also went to SD Zoo Safari Park in Encinitas - 45 min drive. Moonlight Beach is within walking distance just under a mile...it’s currently under repairs, however they have a nice cafe and playground for the children. The property is very spacious and well equip. The bed downstairs is very comfortable. The master bed room mattress is hard as a rock. There also is a room for the children with 2 twins. The master bed room needs some work although the bathtub is amazing with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean the windows around the bathtub do not open and close very easily. They are rusted out from the salt water. These need to be fixed. The shower and bathroom in the master bedroom are very small. We chose to use the bathroom in the hallway instead. The staff were very nice by accommodating a smooth check in and check out process. They even had some come and clean the windows middle of week because it rained a few days before. I would stay here again if the master bed room was addressed for the price of this place and the views you cannot go wrong.

However, the condition of the property is tired. The kitchen utensils, drawers, pots & pans were a hodgepode of items and nothing was organized in the cupboards - . Dirty drawers and rusted utensils. Toaster was archaic. One martini glass - thankfully, there were more wine glasses. Need to toss plastic bowls, etc., Knives couldn't slice anything. Window in master dosen't close and is in dire need of repair. Really didn't appreciate having other people's garbage smell the garage for days until pickup. No tissues, chair in kitchen is falling apart when you move it -Theatre room? Fitness equipment? Cupboards are laminate and loose. You can barbecue and they will charge you $25 if you don't clean it, but they don't leave you a barbecue brush?! You have to call in advance. Although I emailed Stubbs and, received a response days later stating I'm sorry - someone should have gotten back to you... and we are still waiting. Couldn't sit outside - cushions were filthy. Need to have someone pay attention to details to have a better experience. Spent most of our time not in-house.

Amazing Ocean View, Sounds, and Breezes - great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our 9 day stay in this nice townhome in a great location. Walkable and quiet neighborhood near beach, shopping, and restaurants. Overall a nice comfortable place that had some updates in 2023. Nice linens, extra towels, garage parking with garage door opener, wonderful deck, Master bedroom fan, W/D, sweeper/broom, lots of TV's, and updated furniture and blinds. Beds were firm, but we ended up sleeping decent. We did not cook a lot but kitchen seemed pretty stocked, other than we did not have any dish towels for drying hands or dishes. Home really needs new windows as many would not open at all, and this is an issue when no air conditioner. The big issues were the smell in the garage upon arrival due to the dog feces in the trash cans (smell stuck around for most of the stay), and the home not being properly cleaned after the prior guest. The home did not smell fresh and clean, and there was lots of dog hair on the floors. I paid an extra cleaning fee of $350.00 so my daughter's dogs could visit us at the rental, and the home was not even clean from the prior dog that was there. That was frustrating. The bathroom upstairs was not as clean as expected, and the tub had difficulty draining. I had gotten used to renting through private individual owners who seem to offer a more personal experience and touches. I have rarely ever had cleanliness issues with individual owners. Amenities like beach equipment would have been nice since we were so close to the beach access point. With a few improvements, this could be a 5 star property, and I might look to stay again when visiting our daughter who lives in Carlsbad.

The only redeeming qualities of this vacation home are the views and the location, which are undeniably spectacular. Being right on the water with uninterrupted ocean views is the reason to book this property—unfortunately, it’s also the only reason.The condition of the unit itself is extremely disappointing. It feels neglected, outdated, and poorly maintained. The furnishings are worn, the finishes are old, and nothing about the interior reflects the premium price you’re paying for the location. It’s clear that little effort has been made to reinvest in or properly care for the space.While the ocean breeze is nice in theory, it does not make up for the complete lack of air conditioning, which is simply unacceptable. During the day and even into the evening, the unit becomes uncomfortably warm, making it difficult to relax or sleep. In today’s market, especially at this price point, A/C is a basic expectation—not a luxury.Ultimately, this property feels like it’s relying entirely on its location to justify its cost, while ignoring the actual guest experience. Without significant upgrades and the addition of essential amenities like air conditioning, it’s hard to recommend staying here.

Thank you for your feedback. The home’s furnishings were replaced just last year, and the listing description and rental contract both clearly state that the property does not have air conditioning. Most coastal bluff top homes in this area were built without A/C, and the combination of sea breeze, salt air, and the age of the original construction means the exterior and finishes weather more quickly than inland properties. Your note about the slider is accurate, the slider uses wooden dowels as the locking mechanism for these doors.
