A good central location:
A two-minute drive, or five-minute walk, from the Manor and you will find yourself in the heart of Blairgowrie. A little town with picturesque narrow streets and a welcoming one-way system. Blairgowrie offers visitors plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops, traditional food and local pubs or modern options available (Subway).
The river Ericht is absolutely beautiful and runs through the town, offering the perfect setting for a short hike and with
the cateran trail on our doorstep for greater adventures.
Restaurants & Shops:
Along with a number of restaurants and shops around town, Blairgowrie also boasts a large Tesco and a brand new
retail shopping centre with a Starbucks Lidl, Home Bargains etc.
Tesco is about 10 minutes walk from the house so you can get anything you like (open 7am -11pm). The retail centre is
a 5 mn drive.
Local activities:
The countryside surrounding the Manor and Blairgowrie has some of the most famous Golf courses in the world close at
hand.
You will also be able to take part in a whole range of activities all year round: Skiing, fishing, shooting, mountain biking, hiking (Blairgowrie being the main start point for the 60-mile circular Cateran Trail that walkers can follow around the historic drove roads used by cattle rustlers). Or you can always try 4x4 off-road driving, quad bikes and even tank driving!

There are plenty of local attractions drawing visitors from all over the world, such as Whisky Distilleries, numerous Castles, Lochs, wildlife and a beautiful rural landscape.
