Good property but some things to be aware of
We arrived at the property very early in the morning and getting in was super easy. The property has a spacious living room and 3 great bedrooms. The property was clean and well equipped. The pool was fantastic, clean and recently upgraded.
We found that the gas bottle was empty and Magdalene dropped a full bottle off in minutes. The local supermarket was excellent with tons of fresh fruit, veg and bread. We went to quite a few of the local restaurants and generally had a great time.
There were a couple of issues, one I suspect will pass with time and one which my ignorance led me to not notice on the description. Firstly, there is a several acre building site in what was the olive grove visible on any areal view map. This was active from 08:00-17:00 6 days a week and produced significant noise. It was disappointing we were not forwarded about this. This made the side area where the BBQ and dining area unappealing to use and I suspect it has permanently lost its charm (the BBQ also didn’t have any cooking racks which left me a bit stumped how to use it). Secondly, the electricity limit which is clearly mentioned on the description might need to be put into context. We used 805kw in 12 days vs an allowance of 215kw, we had the aircon on at night only at 24-25c (warm) and didn’t use any other significant devices. The additional cost was £87. This came as a bit of a surprise, so I think it’s worthwhile noting.
