Settecentesca villa-baglio circondata da un uliveto secolare, da frutteti e da un rigoglioso vigneto, con vista sulla meravigliosa montagna di Erice e sulle isole Egadi, caratterizzata da antiche mura fortificate che circondano una grande corte interna ed un giardino all'italiana ricco di alberi di agrumi, palme ed essenze aromatiche.
Le antiche attività del baglio sono documentate nel repertorio etnografico conservato in quello che nel passato era il magazzino per lo stoccaggio del grano e la dispensa.
La villa-baglio offre due unità abitative indipendenti, arredate con estrema cura dei dettagli, sia con mobili antichi che di design moderno e corredate con tutto quello che serve in una casa di villeggiatura..
Casa delle Majoliche offre 4 posti letto (+2 in divano) e 2 bagni fa parte della casa padronale.
Le unità in affitto turistico stagionale sono ideali per persone amanti della tranquillità e della campagna.
La casa gode di ampi spazi comun e privati all'aperto ed i suoi ospiti hanno la possibilità di fruire del cortile comune, di un barbecue privato e del giardino.

Wir waren und sind von unserem Aufenthalt an diesem magischen Ort sehr angetan und begeistert. Es ist eine grüne Oase, ein Garten Eden mit wunderbarer Privatsphäre in altem, beeindruckendem Gemäuer. Ein sehr großzügiger Platz zum Genießen, Entspannen und Runterkommen, dem auch das Geräusch der umgebenden Straßen nichts anhaben kann. Francesca und Giuseppe sind sehr aufmerksame, wunderbare Gastgeber, die uns mit offenem Herzen aufgenommen haben. Allerherzlichsten Dank dafür, wir wollten nicht weg und werden wieder sicherlich kommen!!

Un séjour digne d'un film. Nous y avons passé 10 jours fabuleux, agrémentés de moments de détente, de méditation et de partage. La situation du logement proche de la ville de Trapani et de Erice, tout en ayant la sensation d'être au beau milieu de la campagne Sicilienne. Le logement et le jardin sont exceptionnels et vous dévoileront tout au long du séjour de nombreuses surprises. Nous avons vraiment pu nous échapper, le temps de quelques jours, du rythme intense de la ville. L'endroit est parfait pour contempler la nature, vivre au gré du vent et du soleil, lire, marcher, siester, cuisiner ou partager. De plus, Francesca et Guiseppe ont toujours été très arrangeant et nous les remercions pour leur disponibilité, nos échanges, leur intentions et leur recommandations pour découvrir le terroir et les acteurs de la régions. Ils ont participé à notre bien-être tout au long du séjour. Nous avons déjà hâte de revenir séjourner dans cette adresse, mais en attendant, nous gardons le soleil de Sicile dans notre coeur. For lovers of beautiful old buildings

You dislike faceless modern holiday flats but you like authentic mansions of the 18th century? Then you are just right in this place! This is so original and lovely, wonderful old (and functional) furniture, ok the kitchen is small but the apartment itself is huge! There is a square (historic?) pool only about 80 cm deep with lounge chairs, 2 outside areas, everything surrounded by a big natural garden with both lemon and orange trees. We loved it and say a big thank you to the lovely owners Francesca and Giuseppe.

Spirit of Sicily

Staying at Giuseppe and Francesca's country home was such a treat for us all. They were extremely thoughtful, kind and generous hosts who obviously understand that time spent there by their guests is precious. The apartment itself is actually most of the ground floor of what appears to be a small Italian castle. There was plenty of room for us all to have our own space and to also spend evenings gathered together. For a family like ours with many different agendas and pressures during the year, it was so special to come together in such a relaxing and peaceful paradise. With it's slightly fading grandeur yet magical allure and with all the necessary comforts, this place seemed to encapsulate the spirit of Sicily. We were only sorry not to have had more time to stay there. Our two children particularly used the pool most days and though not very deep it provided a blissful aquatic playground and source of cool refreshment after the scolding heat of the day. We hope to stay there again one day.

This place is beautiful- easily the most beautiful house I have ever stayed in. Everything you need, so spacious, historical, rustic, and chic. Bathrooms are very nice. So picturesque. Lovely hosts helped with recommendations and were very responsive communicators.

Verborgen paradijs

Wat hebben we genoten van dit bijzondere verblijf. De ontvangst was heel erg warm en hartelijk en bij de uitleg konden we merken hoezeer ze Francesca en Guiseppe en hun zoon Nino houden van dit bijzondere, historische huis. We konden niet geloven dat we met ons twee de enige gasten waren van dit bijzondere verblijf. De ruimtes zijn zeer smaakvol ngericht en de tuin met natuurlijke zwembad is een heerlijke plek om in te vertoeven. We mochten zelfs vers fruit en kruiden uit de tuin gebruiken om mee te koken. Kortom wij hebben een fantastische tijd gehad. Als je een bijzondere plek zoekt, dan raadt ik dit verblijf aan.

Beautiful , rustic , perfect!

This traditional building is so charming and beautifully furnished. We loved it so much. The swimming pool was gorgeous and picturesque. We played as a family of 4 there all afternoon and loved it. We sat at the front for breakfast every day wishing it was our own home. Francesca was so kind and accommodating and gave us extra things for our baby girl making our stay so comfortable. Highly recommend.

Imagine yourself back in time….

We loved our stay in this 300 year old family estate, complete with orchards, pool, gardens and charming interior. We appreciated the expansive interior with its many original features and tasteful decor. Though the photos on the listing are accurate, they don’t really capture the feeling of wonderment you have when you enter the home. At every turn, there was a feast for the eyes; we loved exploring inside and out. The garden, charmingly overgrown, featured many herbs, flowering plants, succulents, and fruit bearing trees. The pool was a necessity for our stay as it was very hot at the time of our travel. We enjoyed drinks in the garden and by the pool, evening dinners in the cool of the garden and morning coffee in the expansive courtyard. The children collected lemons and made lemonade that has never tasted so good. The location allowed for easy access to Trapani, Erice, the beautiful hilltop town overlooking the area, and to places further afield by car. Our hosts Giuseppe and Francesca and their children were warm, responsive and very helpful. They have deep knowledge and love of the area. This was a place to make wonderful family memories and to imagine yourself back in time, forgetting our modern world.

A beautiful historic oasis

We can’t emphasise enough how lovely and helpful Fransceca and Giuseppe are; they are the best the hosts that we have experienced. And even on our late arrival they took the time to show us around and explain all of the different herbs and fruits grown in their wonderful grounds. We couldn’t believe how stunning the setting of their place was - it felt so grand and opulent; we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The place had such historical significance and beautiful architecture. The location is perfect; we were expecting to use it as a base to travel to other cities, but found Trapani has everything we needed - beautiful white sandy beaches with clear blue sea (and places to sit at the Sun Club), little gems of restaurants and shops including Osteria Ossian (stunning for views and Sicilian food) and pasta shops (Arte Pasta). The pool is the so beautiful and relaxing it was very hard to leave and we will definitely be booking again. Thanks again to Francesca and Giuseppe for making our holiday!

Voici une belle maison , traditionnelle, calme et pleine de charme, un peu à l’écart de trapani. C’est un refuge frais qui nous a permis de récupérer après nos journées de visite dans l’Ouest de l’île. Les bons conseils des propriétaires Giuseppe et Francesca, n’ont d’égal que leur sourire 😊 !

A magical experience!

This villa has been in Giuseppe's family for 300 years and has by lovingly restored. The formal gardens are charmingly overgrown, filled with orange and lemon trees. The pool was a blessing in the summer heat of Sicily. Giuseppe, Francesca and their children warmly welcomed us and were wonderful resources during our stay. Their love for their island and it's history was ever evident and greatly enriched our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Un petit coin de paradis

Une maison plein d’amour !!! Nous avons trouvé notre coin de paradis !!! Des hôtes à nos petits soins avec des attentions devant notre porte. Très bonne situation géographique pour visiter les alentours ... nous nous sommes pris pour des châtelains avec nos clés... je voudrais garder l’endroit secret mais cela serait égoïste !!!!! J’y reviendrai !!!! Merci pour tout !

Beautiful House to relax a few days!

Francesca and Giuseppe were great hosts. Communication with them was flawless. The house is incredibly impressive, the garden beautiful. There is something new to discover every day. The kitchen is a bit small, but you get used to it quite quickly. There is a very small deduction because the house is between two streets and the cars were very loud from time to time. But this did not prevent us from spending wonderful days in the house. There were enough shops nearby, also the beach was only 15-20 minutes away by car. We would love to come back. Thank you very much!

Un paradiso!

Francesca e Peppe ci hanno accolto davvero calorosamente e ci hanno dato ottimi consigli. La proprietà è un sogno e tutto è curato nei minimi dettagli, un' oasi di pace e tranquillità con una splendida piscina. A due passi da Trapani e circa a venti minuti da Erice, è ben posizionata e tutto è facilmente raggiungibile in macchina, insomma soggiorno fantastico, spero di poterci tornare quanto prima!

wonderful historical house in wild garden

We had a lovely time at this beautiful old country house, that even has a small museum on the premises. The house is very spacious (except for the kitchen, but it does have everything you need), and it is decorated with great taste. The surrounding garden is wonderfully wild, with herbs, citrus trees, nice little terraces and a hammock. The pool was perfect for our two kids. It is in a good location to get to the coastal nature reserves, to Erice and other historical sites. The hosts Francesca and Giuseppe and their two children are very kind and helpful. We will definitely come back to this place when we return to Sicily!

Eine tolle Wohnung in einem verwunschenen Garten

Wir haben uns als Gäste sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist großzügig eingerichtet und es gibt kein einziges Möbelstück von Ikea.... Nur ausgesuchte Sofas und Möbel aus den letzten 100 Jahren schmücken die Wohnung. Die Küche ist sehr klein aber die Restaurants in Trapani sind günstig und wir haben nicht so oft gekocht.

Oriental palace in a lush garden

We felt really comfortable in this beautiful house in moorish style, full of antique furniture, paintings, and coffee-table books. The building is surrounded by a stunning garden with palm trees, lemon and orange trees and a private pool. It was a pleasure to start the day with a breakfast on the terrace – and we still vividly remember the smell of jasmine. The hosts live next door and were very kind and helpful in any way. We would definitely recommend to stay there.
