Great stay in Cornino. Loved the house and garden. Well located for beach, restaurants and walking trails yet private and secluded. House keeper Mrs Teresa and her husband were very kind and attentive too.

I sometimes struggle with these reviews. This was not a 5 star hotel in the sense of prim & proper. But for us, this was an adventure in the true sense & what you see is what you get. A bit more remote & a bit more rugged but not average!Mario & Amy were fantastic & we spent a wonderful day with them showing us around. We had some weather challenges but thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful house, stunning location

The house was perfect for a group of friends. Gorgeous, well appointed kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and excellent showers. The location is amazing, right next to the mountain (which was excellent for running and hiking) and overlooking the sea, we couldn’t have imagined

A wonderful rustic villa

What a special place. Adjoins a Nature Reserve, walk to the beach and enclosed in a private and peaceful property. We loved the rustic vibe with a Moroccan influence.

An Amazing Place!!

If you're reading this review and looking for a place in this area of Sicily, then look no further and just book this place now. A beautiful plastic with such a historic charm and phenomenal view of the sea, mountain, and the beach, cities, and islands within sight.

Beautiful Historic Space

What an amazing experience. All the modern luxuries while preserving the character of an historic property. Beautiful grounds, adjacent to hiking trails, near the ocean. We loved our visit!

Beautiful house and garden in amazing location. We stayed there with 6 adults and 5 children and were very comfortable in April. The housekeeper was very helpful with a few issues that came up during our visit.

Excellent property! We highly recommend. The caretaker is wonderful and communication was easy. This is a lovingly restored property with excellent views of the ocean. Cannot say enough good things about being here.

Amazingly cozy house

on that stay, everything was perfect. And I mean everything and I mean perfect :-) super beautiful house if you're looking for peace, wonderful view, nice clear sea within walking distance, wonderful hikes, close to Zingaro NP . We -2families- loved from A to Z.

Magnificent Views! Beautiful gardens and cozy cottage.

The cottage was great, the location and views were spectacular. Clear view of Erice across the bay and trail access to the natural park. We were met by the housekeeper and her husband who were delightful and informative. This was our first night in Sicily and I can not imagine a more pleasant welcome. We stayed in the small cottage separate from the farm house. It has superior views!

Lovely garden

We throughly enjoyed the outdoors.. We ate all our meals on the patios under a roof of purple bougainvillea with jasmin growing on a nearby tree. Native plants were all over with pots of blooming plants bursting in color were everywhere. Through the trees we could see the Mediterranean. The beach was but a short walk away.

Perfect if you want only charm but not comfort

Charming building in a beautiful location, nice decorations and great view.The comfort leaves much to be desired, the beds, sanitary and electrical installations are far below average.I especially mention the annex, a tiny building totally unsuitable for two adults. My wife and I were unable to use it and moved to a b&b on the next street (much more comfortable and half the price but of course without much charm).

I am sorry that you had a bad time in that studio/Apartment. And I see that you review only this studio/Appartment and not the entire villa and the other areas and bedrooms. On the other hand, as you may have seen, the reviews from all the guests have always been excellent and this is the first time in 10 years that someone has reported defects in that studio. The apartment has the smallest (and as you say the charme) bedroom of the villa but has a very large independent, habitable terrace with a wonderful view of the sea and nature and where you can see the sunset in front. But again, I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations. Best regards.

A little slice of heaven!

This villa is exceptional in every way, the location is breathtaking as the villa is beside a giant rock and the beach is also not far away. It’s incredibly private and secluded and just such a gem of a house. The check in was so special as we were very late due to a flight delay and we were greeted with patience and we felt welcomed immediately. There was fresh food left and amenities, in fact every detail had been thought of. I cannot recommend this villa enough, just such a great base to see the little towns in the area, its an oasis for relaxing, eating and being in a Sicilian village.

Wunderbares Bauernhaus mit zauberhaftem Garten

The farmhouse has been renovated with an amazing love for details, it is surrounded by a beautiful garden with a stunning view over the bay and situated at the entrance of a natural reserve with hiking trails. Other than for hiking, you rather dont want to leave the house. In fact, Cornino is rather ugly, the beach is soso, out of season almost entirely covered by seeweed.

Thank you for your considerations. Indeed the place is beautiful and one would never want to leave the villa. Cornino Bay during the fall and winter, as you report, is left for nature to take over. Only during the summer and spring does the municipality take care of the beach. But still, there are other magnificent bays and beaches in the surroundings that do not require care and shine for its beauty: the beach of Agliareddi, Calazza, Scaru Bruccia, Isulidda, and San Vito Lo Capo. I am glad you had a wonderful stay. Hope to see you soon.

lovely and unique

the unit was big spacious and well furnished . the garden is beautiful and shady. our host and the housekeeper Teresa were extremely kind and generous. i left medicine which was sent to me with great effort to our next hotel. in the end it's always human relation that matter! thank you !

September in Custonaci/Cornino

Phenomenal setting to base your Western Sicily stay. Spacious and functional, classic Baguio gives you easy access by car to Erice, Trapani, San Vito Lo Capo, Segesta, etc. Kitchen has everything for home cooking and stores are close by. Right inside the Monte Casanova nature preserve, you can get on the beautiful hike from the back yard! We used the pizza oven and enjoyed the phenomenal sunsets every night. Easy walk down to the beach and into the small town of Cornino’s beaches, bars and restaurants. Mrs Theresa, was very prompt to answer our questions and Aldo, the owner, was flexible and accommodating. Don’t miss this one!!

A gem of absolute beauty

The house and location are absolutely stunning and unique. The building was beautifully restored maintaining many of the original traits, but making it comforting with every needed amenity. It’s very spacious, but also cozy. Any “imperfection”, normal with an old building, doesn’t diminish in any way the experience. The outdoors are even more gorgeous, you could sit for hours in the garden admiring the view of the sea and the mountains. I even used the wood fire oven which has been a wonderful experience. Go there, take a deep breath and respect the beauty of it all!

Charming, rustic seaside home

We were here in Nov., which is not your usual tourist time. We loved the tranquility of the area in the off-season and would love to return in the summer. The home was charming but rustic. We wish we had better weather to be able to enjoy the amazing outside yard, eating area and view. Everything was clean and as full of charm as described, but it is rustic and takes some flexibility from the guest. Water pressure was not ideal, but we were able to manage. Teresa and her husband were very responsive to any questions we had. We would love to return to this home and area again.
