Just a stone's throw from this smoke-free villa, you can enjoy a variety of fun activities and attractions, such as hiking trails. Kourtaliotiko Gorge is a 9-minute drive away. It’s also just a 5-minute drive to Spili Monastery. Relaxing comes naturally by the outdoor pool and in the garden of your 120 m² villa.

For even more relaxation, you can also enjoy the veranda or terrace and a set of patio furniture. In addition to outdoor activities, you can also enjoy yourself indoors with a game of pool or amenities such as Wi-Fi, cable/satellite TV, and a stereo. This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation home features a dining area, a fireplace, a safe, and air conditioning. Some of the amenities in the bathroom include a hair dryer, towels, and toilet paper. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher, as well as amenities such as a coffee maker, an electric kettle, and a microwave. And you don’t need to pack extra clothes, because there’s also a washing machine.

Fantastic villa in a fantastic location!

Villa Myrte is the ideal location to spend a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The surroundings are stunning with exquisite panoramic views everywhere you look. It is also ideally situated for exploring the north and south coasts. The villa has everything you need and more to provide a truly fabulous holiday experience. We would definitely recommend and hope to return one day.

Great villa, great location

We chose the villa on the basis of the pictures and description and we were not disapointed. The villa was lovely and the pool so refreshing after a day exploring Minoan ruins or the local beaches. The owners were very helpful with both our booking and upon arrival and we were very, very grateful for a late check-out on our final day - meaning we were able to squeeze an extra few precious hours from our holiday. All in all a great experience and one we woukd love to repeat!

Wonderful house in a wonderful place!

The house is wonderful and the location is perfect, with a beautiful view of the mountains. Our flight landed very late in the night but we hadn't any problem with the check-in. Every day someone came to ask if we needed something and to make some cleaning. We visited the main beaches in the neighborhood driving from 30 to 120 minutes. I really recommend this location!

peaceful and spectacular

We spent a lovely restful 2 weeks - rarely straying far from the beuatiful house. Great design and a superb location with views from all directions. We enjoyed the moonlit view over the gorge from the back of the house, the swallows swooping down over the pool and the spinach type leaves from the garden. Maria the maid was friendly and we were very impressed with the style with which she "dressed" the beds - and the unexpected present of eggs from her chickens. The best villa we have ever stayed in.

Super relaxing break

My partner and I stayed here with another couple and had a fantastic stay. The villa itself is modern, tastefully furnished, well laid out, and has a multitude of decks and sun traps to maximise being outdoors. The pool is wonderful and we had several swims each day. The views of the rugged hills are stunning and is incredibly serene. The blue ocean peeking out from the valley and the olive groves make for a wonderful vista. The nearby village has an amazing bakery and cheese shop and is an easy 15 minute walk. Lots of beaches to choose from in a 15 minute drive ensures there is a new place to explore each day. A really great holiday!

An excellent choice !

We stayed at crete in this marvellous villa. The architecture on itself is surprising. The interior is super and the several terraces are nicely situated to spend relaxlng moments with a book, with friends are simply enjoying the surroundings. The comfort in the villa is very good. The garden has marvellous views on the surrounding nature - spectacular in this part of Crete - and there is an inviting nice swimming pool and an area for a barbecue. There are 2 areas outside to enjoy diner or breakfast in the open air ! The situation is very nice and ideal for visiting both the city of Rethymnon as well as South Crete. Without any doubt an ideal place to spend relaxing holidays with a true "Crete - feeling".

Excellent house

Me and my girlfirend enjoyed a full week of nice Cretan atmosphere surrounded by beautiful rural country. Excellent base for exploring the west and mid parts of Crete with nice beaches in Plakias and Ag. Gallini nearby. Also Chania and Rethymnon are nice to visit. A car is required due to it's remote and quiet location. However a nice bakery for fresh bread is closeby (500m). Also a lot of tavernes with simple but nice food are within 5km. The house is built with very nicely with a high-end finishing. 3 decks/terraces outside will ensure you can enjoy the sun throughout the day. Excellent value for money!

Fantastic villa - great views & hospitality

Certainly fulfilled all the description and detail on the website. This pair of villas displays innovative architecture that fits well into the surroundings, and provides superb amenities to the lucky residents. Very new but no teething problems, very clean and well appointed. Beautiful rural location with fabulous panoramic views, providing an excellent base for touring many of Crete's attractions. From the first enquiry, Yiannis and family were responsive and helpful, and from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay, they were on hand, attentive, and anxious to ensure a fantastic holiday, but without being at all intrusive. We have had many 'villa holidays' in Italy, Spain, France, and are quite discerning, and have rarely had so little hesitation to grade this one as 5-star!

perfect for tranquil holiday for couples/families

we (family with two kids, age 9 and 11) spent two perfect weeks in this beautifully architectured house. very nice place with openfire, BBQ, pool and about 6 terraces for the best choice of sitting in the sun. Easter time was good, not too hot outside, but often quite windy. the house is beautifully located with views in all directions (over Easter snowy mountains in the East an the West), from the top terrace even a view of the Libyan sea. there are nice walks and good running into the adjacent valley. for getting around you need a car. the house is located well to drive to the southern beaches, the mountains and the town of Rethimnon (and the north coast). very nice landlord who cares for everything and a housemaid wo looks after things

Amazingly peaceful and beautiful

My husband and I stayed here last June, over a year ago, and it's to our shame that we have not yet posted just how amazing this place is, and how much we enjoyed it. We are not travellers who like to go back to the same place every year, but this is the one exception I would make. I can't wait to be able to come back. We stayed for 10 days and were exceptionally well looked after by Yiannis and Maria. The place is beautifully kept and the gardens well-tended. The house itself is stocked with everything you might need. The surroundings are peaceful and gorgeous. The view into the valley, with the sun setting, is one of the memories I return to when I feel I need a holiday! The house is surrounded on 3 sides with beautiful views. From the back terrace, in the evenings, all you hear are crickets and the goats bleating. During the day, while relaxing by the pool, we would see local shepherds moving sheep into the fields and olive groves below. The setting is bucolic and pastoral. We would go down to the village at lunchtimes for bread at the bakery, with its wide selection of biscuits. For evenings we would drive into Rethymno or find a restaurant or two via Tripadvisor. We also made use of the BBQ. You hardly notice the occupants of the other villa. I'm sorry it's taken so long to review, and I can't wait to come back!

A beautiful villa amidst beautiful scenery

We stayed in villa 2 for almost two weeks and our only regret was that it wasn't for longer. The villa is ideally located about one and a half hours' drive from Chania, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. It is situated on a ridge with panoramic views in every direction.and both the north and south coasts can be reached in about 20 minutes by car. During our stay we travelled widely across the island and were just amazed at the scenery, the great food and the friendly people. As it was springtime, there were wild flowers everywhere and it was ideal for walking. There are so many lovely places to visit on the island, but a particular favourite of ours was the Amari valley, which is easily reached by car. We really enjoyed the Cretan food and were never disappointed with anywhere we ate. In particular though we would recommend a little taverna, can't remember its name, which is the last one on the left as you leave the village of Spilli going east. Do not miss this place if you want to enjoy authentic local food. Caroluma's 'sweet bakery' in Mixorruma is brilliant, and the 'regular' bakery across the road has beautiful fresh bread in the morning. The villa was immaculate when we arrived and Anna was there to welcome us with a homebaked cake,show us around and make us feel welcome. We also met Eleni who came in every day to clean and make sure we wanted for nothing. Even although we felt the pool was just a little too cold at that time of year, to take the plunge, Eleni kept it spotlessly clean, just in case! The villa is designed with several terraces and sitting out areas, so that even if it is a bit breezy at times, there is always somewhere sheltered where you can sit and enjoy the views. We have been fortunate to stay in self-catering properties in various parts of the world, but this place is amongst the very best we have come across, and returning for us, is not a question of 'if' but simply when!

Highest quality villa,amazing views, genial owners

We stayed in the villa with two persons in May 2011.We were welcomed by the owner´s family in a very friendly ambience and during our whole staying the did everything what the could do to make our holiday comfortable. The villa has everthing you need for a perfect holiday with all luxury and highest standard. It is brand new in best condition and absolutly clean. Every second day we got new towels and a totally cleaning by perfect Sophia. Anna boutique villa is an absolut perfect holiday home to enjoy nature, suroundings, quietness and relaxing. The pool, the patio and terraces are beautiful with amazing views in the valleys and hills of Crete. Nearby - in a little village - there is a small supermarket, where you get your dially things. Good for shopping and to go out for food is the village Spilli (4km away). If you are looking for a nice, sandy beach we could recommend the beach of Damnoni (direction Plakias, 14 km) or Triopetra (direction Agia Galini, 20 km). On the road to Damnoni (200m from the beach on the left handside) there is a brilliant restaurent called "Mythos". Nice places to go are Agia Galini and Rethymno for shopping and walk through the old town. We have stayed for holidays at many places in Greece for 15 times. All things considered the living in Anna boutique villa for two weeks had been the most perfect holiday we ever had. For sure, we will come back. Thanks to Anna, Stavros, Yannis and Orestis for a beautiful holiday. We only can recommend your villa to all customers. Good luck for your business and heartly greetings!! At last one thing. Because it is situated on the top of a hill it is not recommended for people who need a wheel chair. A car is totally necessary to do the shopping and go for lunch or supper. Moni & Nobbi

Best House Crete

Kühne Architektur, hochwertige intelligent Ausstattung, atemberaubender Rundblick: Berge, Schluchten, Meer. Wohlfühl-Ambiente: Eigener Pool, Hängematte, Grillkamin, 4 Terrassen, das Haus innen: offener Kamin für kühle Abende. Klimaanlage in allen Räumen, Panoramablick in alle Himmelsrichtungen. Aber das Wichtigste: es ist einfach sehr schön, erholsamund zugleich abwechslungsreich.

Lovely villa with amazing panaromic views!

We really enjoyed our stay, the villa is situated in a beautiful spot - very quiet and picturesque views all around. Eleni who looked after us whilst we were there was lovely and very helpful. Spili the nearest town is good for supermarkets and tavernas and only about 10 minutes away from the villa. The beaches are also not too far with gorgeous clear water and again very quiet and not touristy at all - we really felt as though we saw the true way of life in Crete. I would definitely book with HomeAway again many thanks!

Views, views, views!

This house exceeded our expectations, and was a terrific price! It was spotlessly clean, modern, and had everything our family of four needed. The pool and numerous outdoor seating areas were especially appreciated. There are no photographs that can capture how beautiful the area around the house is - views from every direction! On several nights we sat and watched the sunset while our girls enjoyed a late swim in the pool. Because the house is up high, it can tend to get windy, but we did enjoy plenty of times where the wind was hardly blowing. There is a "sister" house right next door, but there were no issues because the houses don't share any common spaces and the pools/outdoor areas don't face each other. We loved the wild beauty of the area - traveling to Plakias or Preveli Beach takes about 25 minutes and you drive through the spectacular Kourtaliotiko Gorge. The Gorge is so amazing that you can't help stopping to take pictures no matter how many times you drive through it - but just a helpful tip that it can be a bit of a nerve-wracking drive, especially after dark. On several nights, we opted to get dinner early in Plakias so that we could be home before dark, allowing us to enjoy the sunset views from the house. The town of Spili is close by to the house, but we found it a bit underwhelming and tried to get dinner there on our first night around 9:30, believing that people eat dinner late as they do in the cities in Greece, but found that the restaurants were all closed or near closing. We even had an earlier dinner one night in Rethymno (which we really loved, much more than Chania), and then it was an easy 30-40 minute drive back to the house. I would recommend this house to anyone who appreciates a quiet stay in the mountains (so quiet that you could hear the sheep/goats' bells ringing), but not too far from beaches/sights, and a house with a pool and great outdoor areas. It might be a bit tough for a family with elderly relatives or very young kids because you park at the bottom of the hill and there are many steps up the house, but my kids are 7 & 9 and had no issues.

Traumhaftes Haus und Garten

Wir ( 4 erwachsene Personen ) haben dieses traumhafte Haus Anfang April für 9 Tage bewohnt und waren über unsere Wahl außerordentlich zufrieden. Der erste Eindruck war mit einer schnellen Antwort auf unsere Anfrage schon positiv. Total unkompliziert konnten wir sofort kommen. Die Anfahrt zum Haus war Dank Navigation sehr einfach zu finden. Ein Leihwagen ist in dieser Region zwingend erforderlich. Im Haus angekommen wurde unser Eindruck, den wir ja schon von den Fotos hatten weit mehr als übertroffen. Liebevoll eingerichtet, nichts abgewohnt und alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Unübertroffen sind die diversen Terrassen- zu jeder Himmelsrichtung gibt's was Passendes. Wir konnten gar nicht alles nutzen - so viel Auswahl war vorhanden. Jeden zweiten Tag kam Eleni und hat uns super betreut. Handtuchwechsel, Mülleimer ausgeleert und geputzt- wirklich toll. DANKE an dieser Stelle an sie. Im Ort selber gibt es einen Minimarkt der wirklich alles hatte was man so braucht. Die dazugehörige Bäckerei ist ein Traum.....Obst, Gemüse, Duschgel, Kaminanzünder, Milch, etc. alles da. Da wir bereits Anfang/ Mitte April schon Temperaturen von bis zu 26 Grad hatten, konnten wir den Poolbereich ausgiebig nutzen. Dieser ist komfortabel ausgestattet, ausreichend Schatten ist vorhanden. Am Pool selber war es immer windgeschützt. Die Ruhe am Haus ist ein Traum - kein Lärm, nur ab und an fuhr mal ein Auto vorbei ....nur Vogelgezwitscher und die Glöckchen der Schafe waren zu hören. Ideal für Menschen die abseits der Hektik ihren Urlaub verbringen möchten. Wenn man allerdings Stadtleben haben will - Rethymnon ist in 30 min. zu erreichen - eine wunderschöne Stadt mit netten Tavernen und Geschäften. Der Flughafen Chania ist in ca. 1 Stunde 20 min zu erreichen, der wunderschöne Strand im Süden ( Plakias) ist auch in 30 min. erreichbar. Dort war es sogar noch mal um einige Grad wärmer. Rund um Plakias gibt es noch viel mehr tolle Strände!!! Rundum : ein erholsamer Urlaub und ein Gastgeber den man sich nur wünschen kann. Grüße auch an die Familie, die wir zu Ostern kennenlernen durften :) Wir kommen definitiv mal wieder. DANKE !

Amazing house with all you need

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful house. Very stylish, great pool, beautiful surrounding, all the necessities you need. Communication with the owner was easy, nice and very quick. The maid is an extra bonus which we did not expect and which was great. She is a very nice person. Thanks for the cake and the homemade marmelade! The location is perfect for doing trips in all directions over the island. Thanks for the lovely stay, definitely will recommend it!

Beautiful Villa in stunning surroundings

These villas are fabulous properties. Immaculately clean and nicely furnished. We particularly liked the comfortable beds, something usually lacking in Crete villas! Views from every window are stunning. We loved sitting out on the back terrace watching the birds and listening to those lovely sheep bells! Unfortunately, we hadn’t appreciated just how much cooler it would be in that location or how windy. Obvious now we’ve been there as it’s high up in the hills. But there was a 5-7 oC drop in temperature from the coast at Plakias to the villa and it was so windy we couldn’t sit outside anywhere except on the more sheltered back terrace. I think the cooler weather would be great in the summer when you want to escape the heat but in October it meant we were actually quite cold and couldn’t sit outside as much as we’d expected to. Also, the pool was far too cold to use which was such a shame. A pool cover or some solar heating would extend the pool season. Clearly the weather isn’t the owners fault but worth knowing if you plan to stay in the spring or autumn. Yiannis and his family were very attentive and helpful. They were quick to respond to the few small issues we had. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

Perfect!

We stayed for 2 nights with our 3 children, ages 13-15. All of us loved the house and the amenities, the kids especially loved the pool. The view was spectacular. There was an amazing bottle of wine left for us, thank you. Wish we could've bought more. Also some Raki, which was lovely after each meal. We appreciated the wonderful woman who came to clean and she also brought us homemade jam. We visited the local market/bakery, extremely friendly and kind owners as well as the local creamery. Amazing homemade cheeses. We went to Palm Lake in Preveli. Beautiful beach. A lot of stairs to get there but worth it. Recommend wearing tennis shoes. There's a cafe on the beach. We would highly recommend this home and this area and would love to stay again. Thank you!

Spitzenklasse

Wir waren im Mai 2017 mit einem befreundeten Paar in dieser Villa und waren sehr begeistert. Die Villa ist mitten in den Bergen gelegen, nahe Plakias. Das Anwesen und die Villa selber haben uns umgehauen. Sie sind noch schöner als auf den Fotos! Alles ist liebevoll hergerichtet, sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Vermieter hat sich hier wirklich viel Mühe gegeben und man merkt, wieviel Liebe darin steckt. Das Anwesen ist sehr großzügig und verfügt über einen pool. Es gibt viele Sitzmöglichkeiten incl. Hängematte, aber egal wo man sitzt, man hat einen fantastischen Ausblick, und es ist sehr ruhig. Ich kann diese Villa nur jedem weiterempfehlen. Wir werden bestimmt nochmal dahin fahren. Elena, die fast täglich kam, hat uns herzlich empfangen. Vielen Dank für soviel Wärme! Eine sehr schöne Besonderheit war, das Anna, die Mutter des Vermieters am Geburtstag meiner Freundin mit einem sehr schmackhaften Kuchen vor der Türe stand und ein Geburtstagslied sang. Wir danken der ganzen Familie für soviel Herzlichkeit und Mühe, es ihren Gästen so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.

A wonderful villa!

We have just returned from a really lovely 4 week stay at Villa Daphne. From our very first contact through to our departure everything was dealt with in a very friendly, smooth and efficient manner. Eleni, Yiannis, Stavros and Anna were all brilliant! The villa is set in a beautiful rural area with stunning views from every window. We never tired of the views, the tinkling of the sheeps bells or the dramatic acrobatics of numerous birds of prey. For all lovers of Crete or indeed any Greek Island - this is the place for you! We have already decided that we will return next year! ( a huge endorsement given that we've stayed in 5villas in 3 Greek islands and so far this is the only one we're returning to !!) from Stewart and Kate, Perthshire, Scotland.

Gorgeous views, nice lessors, perfect service

We had a nice week in the modern holiday house. The position of the house is awesome, you have many terraces with free views in the mountains and on some small villages and even the sea is visible. One of the most modern houses we have seen on the Island, very high local standard. The House was cleaned every day through a housekeeper, at our arrival we found some greetings from the lessors together with wine, raki, water, easter bread and eggs, that is service! Even a arrival in the night was possible. We can recommend the house.

lovely design villa with private pool!

we stayed at Myrte villa for 14 days last Autumn and it was a fanstastic time for us! the villa was superb! the design fanstastic and every little details gives a perfect result in the end. we enjoyed using the different vereandas and terraces depending on the day time. our favorite place of course was the BBQ where we did amazing meals after a long day spending by the pool! the villa is in a good location to travel to other places and especially on the south coast and its lovely beaches. within 15 minutes drive you are there! beaches such as Schinaria, Ammoudi, Damnoni are recommended. we used to dinne also in nearby restaurants in the nearby villages (i.e. Spili). there was a daily cleanning service and Yiannis, Anna and Eleni were always there to make sure that we have a lovely time! the villa exceeded our expectations by far and thats why we are already booked for 2017! we are looking forward to come back!
