Welcome to Phos, our exquisite suite in the heart of Plaka, the most picturesque area in Athens' centre, offering an unparalleled view of the majestic Acropolis. Located in a prime location, our suite combines luxury, comfort, and the enchanting beauty of ancient Greece.

The Name: To the Ancient Greeks, Phos (Φῶς) was “a pure, brilliant quality of light, signifying a break in the darkness, a triumph of truth and knowledge over ignorance”. The luminosity and unique beauty of Greek light have captured the imagination of poets, Lord Byron, Odysseus Elytis, and Constantine Cavafy to name a few. Phos is the epitome of creation and beauty, in Plaka, the centre of light in our city, Athens.


Our spacious suite features modern design with traditional touches, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The highlight of the suite is the private patio, where you can relax and admire the breathtaking panorama of the Parthenon. Whether you’re sprawled out on the sofa in the living room or lying down in the bedroom, the Acropolis is never out of sight. Imagine sipping your morning coffee or enjoying a glass of wine while soaking in the historic sights!
The suite includes a plush queen-sized bed, a well-equipped kitchenette, a cosy sitting area, and a private bathroom with all necessary amenities. The decor showcases a blend of contemporary elegance and nods to Athens' rich history, creating a unique and memorable experience.

Location: Our suite is nestled in Plaka, in the heart of Athens, just a short walk away from major attractions such as the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, and the historic Monastiraki Square. You'll find an array of charming cafes, vibrant restaurants, and local shops nearby, allowing you to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the city.
Despite being just a breath away from the bustling centre, the suite remains peacefully quiet, so you can escape the lively city pulse to find solace in this peaceful sanctuary any time you choose to!
Kindly note that the suite is located on the 4th floor, accessible by an elevator.

Spectacular View ! Amazing view both morning and night from the balcony - it was hard to leave ! The studio was spotless, stylishly decorated and well appointed. The taxi service recommended by Eva for my airport transport was excellent. Chris, the suite keeper, met me at the apartment and provided all the details needed. There is a coffee maker with some pods included, a washer, great linens, lovely bath products, a wireless speaker, all the essentials and more. And again, the view of the Acropolis is really as fabulous as the pictures show.

Wonderful!

Husband and I stayed here for 3 nights before our cruise. Amazing location. Close to all the main attractions….everything walkable. We loved sitting on the balcony in the evening and morning. The view was amazing. Apartment, though small, had everything we needed. Loved the convenience of having a washer. Would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful apartment!

Incredibly convenient location, small but super efficiently designed and appointed! Magical view of the Acropolis from the apartment. We were there for three nights before our cruise and hated to leave!!! Perfect for a couple!

Centrally located to restaurants, shops, metro and Acropolis. Nice apartment with a great balcony view. Chris was very helpful with the check in process and with any questions we had. Highly recommend!

Lovely Apartment close to everything in Athens

Awesome view. Small apartment with everything. Just fabulous. Only issue is communication. Hate relying on VRBO messaging, it has been 6 days and VRBO app on Iphone has error. Travel a lot, hate it when host rely on single platform to communicate. Totally ridiculous, they do not want to communicate via Whatsapp (The singular most useful and reliable communication). Arrive, VRBO hangs..can not find the floor to meet. Fortunately did not need to contact host as VRBO app did not work. Tried to review and app not working for 5 days. Able to do review on macpro laptop platform.... iphone add still not working. I do no like host who rely on one platform to communicate. Makes it difficult.

Amazing!!!

The apartment is truly amazing! And the view was magical. If we could give this property more than 5 stars I certainly would. Eva was the most gracious host and every detail was taken care of. Being in the Plaka area made our trip so enjoyable and easy to walk to almost anywhere.

Amazing view of Acropolis

located on the fourth floor, this suite is great for time in Athens. The view of Acropolis was amazing - and excellent way to complete our 1st trip to Greece.

A spectacular view & perfect location

The apartment itself wasn't large however it was the right amount of space for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teen daughters). The communication with the host was easy, the location was amazing for exploring the city without a car and the view was INCREDIBLE!

SO FABULOUS!!

Unfortunately, we were only able to stay two nights at Eva‘s flat. It was seamless, from pre-arrival communication until the minute we left. The interior was chic and semi-modern and incredibly clean. The bed, pillows and linens were fabulous. Tall ceilings and plenty of space for the two of us, with wonderful balconies for viewing the Acropolis day or night. The location was fantastic for shopping, dining, and strolling through Plaka and the various surrounding neighborhoods. We hope to return some time and recommend booking in advance, as I know it is popular. We have stayed in many VRBO homes and apartments and this was top-notch. Thank you Eva and Kris (the lovely woman who cleans and sets up between guests- could not have been nicer).

Absolutely perfect apartment

What a beautiful gem! The location of the apartment was perfect, the view from the balcony was breathtaking, both day and night, I couldn’t stop taking photos. The inside of the apartment was immaculate and a modern. It was such a perfect place to stay for me and my daughter, so close to all the major historical sites! Great Location!

The location of the apartment is excellent. Within easy walking distance of great restaurants and cafes as well as the Acropolis and the museum. The view of the Acropolis from the apartment was amazing, especially at night.

Perfect location with an incredible view

Phos house provides its guest with a modern apartment with incredible views and a most convenient location close to major activities and numerous restaurants. The furnishings were near new and kitchen was well stocked with high quality items. This will be my first choice of a place to book when returning to Athens.

Absolutely perfect location and apartment!!

Perfect location and gorgeous, sunny apartment with everything we needed. My husband and I spent 5 nights here and hated to leave. The apartment is within a very short walk to many major sights and a huge array of restaurants, cafes, shops and bars. We walked all around central Athens and feel this location, within the heart of Plaka, was the best in the city. And amazingly, it was very peaceful and quiet! The host was wonderful. She met us at the apartment and showed us around and offered to let us leave our luggage in the apartment after checkout so we could tour around until time to leave for our flight. She also suggested a taxi driver, Leonidas, who picked us up from the airport and then took our s back to the airport on our last day. He was wonderful as well. The apartment was first-rate. Wonderful comfy large bed with a view of the Acropolis! Seriously! The shower was a fun experience with lots of spray options. Apartment was stylish and had many live plants. We had coffee on our balcony every morning. The balcony’s and large windows overlook the center of the block, with lots of greenery and birds, and so there is no traffic noise. It was really hard to leave this beautiful, peaceful, comfortable apartment! Be sure to walk to Anafiotika and up to the top of Lycabettus Hill for sunset. We also recommend the Athens One Day Cruise to Hydra, Poros and Aegina, which we booked online through Hop In Tours.
