Villa Manolia

illa Manolia is a beautiful traditional holiday house located at the village of Prines which is just 5km away from the town of Rethymnon.

The Villa is designed to offer magnificent views of the area ( sea view and mountain view), the sky and the Cretan agriculture.
It lies on a large property, which has its private entrance(private parking place) and is surrounded by trees and beautiful gardens with many Mediterranean flowers on the outskirt of Prines, near the north coast of Crete. All materials used to construct and furnish Villa Manolia are natural and eco friendly.

A freshwater pool, with sun lounges and parasols and a wonderful sea view provide a refreshment on hot summer days.Around the swimming pool there are generously constructed terraces.
The pool is suitable for 10 persons (40sq.m) .
Viila Manolia is built in tree floors.
The Villa is furnished tastefully and comfortable, built in 2002, approx. 300 square meters, 5 bedrooms in the midst of a well-tended lawn- and garden property.
The heightened ground floor has direct exit to partly covered patio (approx. 70 square meters) with access to the swimming pool . Also at this level there is also the living/dining room, direct Open kitchen with electric stove, fume hood, refrigerator with freezer, coffee machine, new NESPRESSO coffee machine and dishwasher. Direct access to the barbeque area from the kitchen .There is also one bedroom with double bed. Anteroom (big built-in closet with safe), bathroom with tub and toilet.
At the first floor: there is :1 bedroom with 1 double bed, balcony. Own bathroom with tub and toilet. 1 bedroom with a double bed and direct exit to the patio (approx. 20 square meters) with a great sea view. Own bathroom with shower and toilet. 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, balcony. Own bathroom with shower and toilet.
At the Basement there is : 1 bedroom with double bed, own bathroom with shower and toilet. Fitness room with fitness equipment and a table tennis. Bathroom with shower and toilet. Lumber-room with washer, ironing board and iron.
From 2017 all our mattresses are COCO MAT,designed to offer you relaxing, comfortable sleep, Coco Mat mattresses are made of natural materials which are stacked in multiple layers. No metal springs are used.

Greek Tourism Organisation: We have to inform you that both villas are approved by Greek Tourism Organisation.

Comfortable villa with plenty of space for 10 of us. Stella, the host was super helpful and responsive and a short walk to the local village for mini market and places to eat. A second fridge would have made the stay perfect so keep young adults’ drinks cold.

Fantastic villa !!

First of all, big thanks to Stella for her prompt and precise communication, as well flexibility with our arrival and departure time. The villa is fantastic, perfect for our group of 9 (5 adults and 4 children), lot of inside and outside space, super clean and very well equipped. You will find everything you need for your stay. All details show delicate attention from Stella for her guests to have a good time. We met Stella's father when he came to check the swimming pool and to give us a home made cake. He was very nice. I can only recommend the place, it was perfect from day 1. You can go with trust. Thank you Stella ! I can only recommend this place.

Stay at Villa Manolia

We had a fantastic stay at the villa. The rooms are simple but lovely and cleaned mid-week. The kitchen is also simple but worked well for us as we did limited amounts of cooking. The house is relaxed and spacious. Everyone really enjoyed the pool and lovely outside spaces.

Perfekt!

Wir haben in der wunderschönen Villa Manolia einen perfekten Familienurlaub genossen. Alles war so, wie in der Anzeige beschrieben, und die Kommunikation im Vorfeld sowie bei der Anreise war hervorragend. Atemberaubend ist der Blick von der oberen Terrasse. Der Ort Prines ist sehr nett und günstig gelegen für Strandausflüge (unser Lieblingsstrand war "Christos Asteria" am Episkopi Beach; ca. 15-20 Min Autofahrt) oder weitere Erkundungen der Insel. In der Nähe gibt es diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und im Ort selbst zwei wirklich gute Tavernen: Giannikos und Veranta. Sehr hübsch ist auch die Altstadt des nahe gelegenen Rethymno. Das Highlight aber war die liebenswerte Betreuung durch die Besitzer: Manolis und seine Familie helfen in allen Lebenslagen. Efcharistó poly!

fantastic villa close to Rethymnon

We were a family & friends group from Cologne and had a perfect middle of october week in the villa. Not far from Rethymon and in 3 minute walking distance to a small non-touristic village with a wonderful greek taverna and the (villa) owners mini market. The owners were helpful with any matter and brought us even an additional mattress for a child. It was great to find spices, tea and food basics in the kitchen and that the owner brought us home made olive oil and cakes. The villa is big enough for ten and the price for the standard absolutely fine. The beds and bathrooms are great and after the cold october pool, the children could warm-up in one of the 2 bathtubs. When the weather in the North was bad we drove 45minutes straight down to the south side of the island and enjoyed great sunny beaches. We will definitely come back to Prines and the fantastic villa. Thanks again to Manolias family for everything !!

Beautiful house, wonderful village, great owners

We absolutely loved our stay here! We had 5 adults and 5 older kids. The layout and space in the house is perfect. Our kids loved the ping pong table/game room. The rooms are all a generous size, as is the outdoor space. We never felt cramped or uncomfortable. Three of the rooms are located on the top floor, one on the middle floor by the living room/kitchen, and one on the ground floor by the playroom (perfect for our two 16 year olds!) There is fresh rosemary and lemon in the yard. The bbq is awesome. The views are incredible as well. The house if very clean. The bedding is good quality and comfortable. The bathrooms are clean as well. We had everything we needed. There is tons of privacy and the house/property is very secure. The village is a quaint, lovely place and the people are very kind. Our teenagers spent hours walking around exploring and enjoying the wonderful village. We had excellent coffee and tzatziki from the Taverna, a truly fantastic meal at The Olive, and a wonderful meal at Gianniko's. All are an easy walk from the house. The next village over has a good size supermarket with awesome pistachios and homemade pita bread. For larger grocery trips, there is a Lidl approximately 4km from the house. Rethmnon is very close and definitely worth a visit! The owners are great too! They brought delicious homemade treats, bought a few grocery items for us since we arrived late, were always available if we needed them or had any questions, and are just genuinely nice people. Just for informational purposes - the pool is not heated. In the hot summer, that is not an issue, but it makes a difference in April. You mustn't throw toilet paper in the toilet. It goes in the trashcan. Don't let that be the determining factor in considering to stay here. Turns out, that is how it is in 98% of places in Crete. The oven is not as effective at heating food when you use the stove top at the same time. Again, this place is fantastic!! We would happily stay there again. This wonderful house made our trip all the more memorable, enjoyable, and relaxing.

Parfait

Crète Nous revenons de 15 jours de vacances dans la villa Manollia. 15 jours de soleil, de chaleur, de ciel bleu ... La villa est superbe, spacieuse, confortable. Les draps sont changés régulièrement un vrai plaisir. Une belle grande piscine tellement agréable, un petit vent et les 35 degrés étaient tout à fait supportables. On ne se lasse pas des couchers de soleil et de la mer dans le lointain. Les trois terrasses ont été très appréciées. Tout est fait pour passer de magnifiques vacances. Mais la différence tient surtout à la gentillesse, la discrétion, la prévenance des propriétaires. Merveilleux.

Perfekte Ferien in luxuriösem Haus

Wir verbrachten mit acht Erwachsenen zehn wunderschöne Tage in der Villa Manolia. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig am Ortsrand und bietet einen traumhaften Blick auf die (im Mai noch schneebedeckten) Berge über Olivenhaine bis zum Meer. Man kann die schönsten Sonnenuntergänge erleben. Prines ist ein kleiner, noch sehr ursprünglicher Ort mit zwei Tavernen und zwei kleinen "Supermärkten". Die Leute sind sehr gastfreundlich und in den Tavernen läßt es sich lecker griechisch essen. Haus und Garten sind sehr sauber und gepflegt; alle drei Tage erfolgt ein Wäschewechsel und wird geputzt. Das Besondere für ein Ferienhaus ist, dass jedes Schlafzimmer über ein Bad verfügt. Leider ist das Zimmer im Untergeschoss etwas weniger attraktiv als die anderen Schlafzimmer. Die Besitzer kümmern sich liebevoll um Haus und Gäste. Man fühlt sich rundum gut versorgt. Wir empfehlen das Haus ohne Einschränkungen weiter.
