Casa da Pedra do Cuco is a beautiful luxury villa, situated in a quiet green valley with hills, vineyards and orange groves in the interior of the Algarve. Set amid an unspoiled countryside between Silves and Messines, the villa offers totally secluded luxury on a private estate of 8000 m2. The view at the surrounding olive orchards, fruit trees and hills is truly astonishing.



The villa was renovated under the supervision of an architect and is suitable for 12 persons. Casa da Pedra do Cuco breathes an atmosphere of quietness and peacefulness and offers a paradise where you can enjoy the sundown, relax in a hammock, cool of in the private pool or read a book in the shade of an olive tree.



This luxury villa is warmly and elegantly decorated with a successful mixture of modern and rustic elements. The entire villa is provided with air conditioning.



The large living/dining room has a high wooden ceiling, a large dining table, a comfortable sitting area and a cosy fireplace. Large folding doors lead to the terrace outside.



The fully equipped kitchen is provided with all modern comfort you could wish for. If you don’t want to eat out or cook yourself, Casa da Pedra do Cuco offers the possibility to have your own cook. Either you like an international menu or an authentic Portuguese meal, your chef will serve you a tasteful lunch or dinner!



Bedrooms



The bedrooms of Villa Cuco, all have comfortable beds and high-quality linen and bath towels. The master bedroom has its own fireplace. There are 5 bedrooms in total of which 2 are situated in a separate apartment near the pool. All 4 bathrooms are cosy and luxurious. The 2 rooms in the apartment have a shared bathroom.



Main House has 3 bedrooms: 1. double en-suite with bath and separate shower 2. double en-suite with bath and separate shower 3. bunk bed, plus above (mezzanine) twin beds, bathroom with walk-in shower 4 and 5 is in an apartment, 20 meters from the main house with two bedrooms, both twins, and shared bathroom (bath plus shower. 2 extra single beds.



Children are warmly welcomed in this luxury villa in Silves and will surely feel at home. There are two cots, two high chairs and children’s cutlery and crockery.



Outside



The villa is adjusted for outdoor living with beautiful gardens, a private pool and several sunny and shady places to relax. There’s also an outdoor kitchen with hot and cold water, a built-in barbecue and cooking facilities.



The main terrace has a large dining table and offers a splendid view at the swimming pool and surrounding green hills. It’s a perfect place to enjoy your lunch or dinner, sitting in the natural shade of the old olive trees with a glass of Portuguese wine in your hand.



In the garden, there are several terraces, a patio with a large lounge area, and a veranda with an enormous cushion and sitting area. They all offer lovely spots to unwind and relax and enjoy the quietness and nature.



The inviting swimming pool is the sparkling centre of the gardens with their lovely olive and fruit trees. Swimming, sunbathing or relaxing in the comfortable lounge-chairs really feels like paradise! There is a special field with playing ground for the children.



Area



In the valley where Casa da Pedra do Cuco is situated, green hills and orange plantations colour the landscape. In this valley lies Silves, once the Moorish capital of the Algarve. The castle in the evening in a fairytale-like way, towers above the white town reminds us of that time. Silves has an atmospheric street scene with numerous shops, restaurants and bars. Not far from Silves is the typical Portuguese Messines, with an authentic centre with sunny terraces and atmospheric cafes.



The beaches of the Algarve are 20 minutes from Casa da Pedra do Cuco. Excitement seekers will find bustling Portimao with the trendy Aqua Beach Club, peace seekers can relax on one of the many private beaches. Faro airport is 50 km away.



Activities



The relaxed, rural atmosphere is one of the attractive aspects of a stay at Casa da Pedra do Cuco. You can explore the area by following one of the hiking routes or by taking a mountain bike. There are numerous tourist trips and various sports can be practised: golf, tennis, horse riding, sailing, mountain biking and jet skiing, for example.
