Countryside Granary cottage with access to indoor pool, sauna & steam room

The Granary is a spacious newly renovated traditional house with beautiful views over the local countryside.

Shaw is a small village located in Wiltshire close to the famous town of Lacock and 20 minutes from the city of Bath.

The space:
The house is set over two floors and boasts of a brand-new kitchen with integrated appliances and a dedicated utility room. The house has an open-plan sitting room and dining area, perfect for entertaining.

The living room features a restored Bath stone fireplace and reading nook, perfect for cozy countryside stays.

On the ground floor, you will also find the master bedroom which features a king-sized bed, and an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and bathtub.

The remaining 3 en-suite bedrooms are located on the first floor and feature 2 King sized Beds and 1 double Bedroom

As you enter the property on the ground floor there is a cloakroom bathroom with a dedicated dog wash area.

The house benefits from access to a private indoor swimming pool, with Sauna & Steam room - exclusive use available through pre-booking with the host.
A 2 hour slot per day is included with your booking. ( The Pool and Spa are available between 10 am and 6 pm Daily )

At both the front and rear of the house, guests will find comfortable outdoor seating areas perfect for the summer months.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire property along with a private rear lockable courtyard.

To the rear of the property, there is a shared outdoor area complete with BBQ area This is shared with one other holiday rental unit.

The Pool and Spa are accessed from this area.

This was a wonderful cottage. We had a great time. The pool and spa were amazing. It all looked new and was a great design and well equipped. We did have a few issues but all were sorted out and communication with the owner was excellent. Would recommend. Even got the chance to use the pool on the last day as were offered a later check out which was a nice bonus.

Everything was very clean, the beds we very comfortable and the kitchen was very well resourced. We had a great time and would highly recommend staying there. This is a spacious well appointed home with a magnificent pool and spa facilities. We enjoyed having space and ensuites for each of our family units. Our host was attentive and adaptable - offering amended times for pool sessions when we couldn't manage the period available. There was a welcome bottle of wine and box of shortbread, with the comprehensive information pack. The property is within a gated community with access via a keypad which gives it a very safe and quiet feeling.

Excellent accommodation

We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Great location for sight seeing and eating out. Wi fi was slow but not a massive issue and certainly not a deal breaker. Would recommend and stay here again.

Lovely accommodation and facilities

We stayed at Granary Cottage with our family for my 60th birthday celebrations and it was a great choice! Lovely accommodation that lends itself to four grown-up couples, with a very sociable open-plan living and dining space. The pièce de résistance though is the spa/pool, which is a beautiful facility that made us all feel really quite special. We have happily recommended Granary Cottage to other family friends.

Cozy Christmas Stay!

We stayed in the Granary which was decorated for Christmas, it had such a lovely homely feel to the property. There was a very much appreciated welcome pack of mince pies, shortbread, wine and milk. The beds are super comfy and I honestly had some of the best sleeps staying here. The pool room was stunning and we loved the exclusive 2 hour slots that can be booked.We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return!

Outstanding property with awesome facilities

Absolutely perfect weekend away with good friends. Such amazing facilities, the swimming pool is absolutely first class as is the dry sauna and steam room. We could not get enough of it! The games room with the air hockey and arcade game machine is a lovely touch too. Bedrooms and en suite beautiful and clean and the hosts/owners were so very pleasant and helpful and always there if we needed them. All in all I cannot rate this place highly enough and we will definitely be staying again!

Fantastic property

From beginning to the end Catherine and Thomas have been brilliant. We arrived early and Catherine said we could go straight to the cottage, ( which with a 2 and half year old) saved us having to find somewhere to hang around for a couple of hours. As the other cottage wasnt being used at the time we were able to adjust our booking times of the pool if we needed to. The place itself is beautiful and has everything you need. Catherine even made us home made scones with jam and cream, milk, butter and a bottle of wine was lovely to receive. The pool, steam room and sauna were appreciated by the family as we all have stressful jobs and they said they just felt so relaxed. I cannot fault this property at all. Just wished we had longer there. We would definitely go back again. Hopefully for longer next year. Thank you Catherine and Thomas.

Fantastic place, great time

Me and my friends had a great time, the property was very modernly decorated and the spa/pool facility was amazing. It was a shame it’s only open 9am - 6pm but other than that, no complaints at all we had a wonderful time and would stay here again.

Ideal Weekend Getaway with Friends

We found the property to be perfect for 8 friends celebrating a significant birthday. Comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. We loved the pool facility especially. Highly recommended.
