In the heart of the Peak District, Hollow Brook cottage at Top Riley Holiday Cottages, Eyam, offers a tranquil haven for grown ups, perfect for older families or couples wanting a space to relax. Unwind in the hot tub after a day's stroll, but please respect quiet hours after 9 pm, hot tub not in use from 10pm (Hot Tub will not be available from January 1st 2026). This environment is for those who cherish a slower pace of life, making it the perfect place for those looking to rest and recoup.

Wonderful quiet, fully equiped cottage

Fantasitc place, super clean with everything we needed. Was peaceful and quiet, Emma was a wonderful host, very responsive and welcoming. Very enjoyable weekend.

Lovely home from home in the Peaks

A lovely comfortable retreat for our family of 4 during our first trip exploring The Peaks. Great location having the benefit of quiet, scenic retreat and short walk into beautiful Eyam. Hot tub a fab added extra to sooth any aches after exploring the gorgeous countryside. We'll definitely be back!

Stunning Location

Amazing views that take your breath away as you drive up the lane towards the cottage. Amply equipped, with traditional furnishings and a huge upstairs bedroom/bathroom! Emma was so welcoming to us - thank you.

Beautiful cottage in stunning location

We had a wonderful stay in Clara’s cottage. It was clean, very comfortable, and very well appointed. It was equipped with everything we could have needed. We loved the hot tub after a day of walking. It was great to be able to walk straight from the cottage too. Thank you Emma for the delicious treats. Would thoroughly recommend.

Blissful

We had a really relaxing time at Clara cottage. The weather was very hot but we managed to stay cool and there were fans available if needed. My brother loved the hot tub. The property is configured nicely and the upstairs bathroom and roll top bath are superb. We’d definitely recommend highly.

Welcome, my name is Emma and I live with my family in the main house near the cottage. We love to welcome those who want to enjoy the beautiful surroundings that we are lucky enough to call our home. The walks, views, bike trails, pubs and surrounding villages make this a truly peaceful location to enjoy so much.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

Hollow Brook cottage is one of three cottages that used to be a milking shed. These have been renovated in 2007 to a beautifully high standard with all the modern essentials but keeping the essence of the past. The views and the peace and quiet make this place truly unique, sitting just above Eyam village steeped in its history of the first village to introduce a lock down during the plague in the 1600's where two thirds of the village sacrificed their lives to protect the surrounding villages and towns.

You could stay here for a week and have no need to get in your car. There are numerous walks, bike rides, running trails from your door step. The village is a 10 minute walk away and offers cosy cafes, a great pub serving amazing food and a bistro. You can even get a shopping delivery or a takeaway.
