A charming, cosy holiday haven situated on the first floor, with a sundeck, set within acres of beautiful countryside on the stunning Lanwithan Estate.. All on the First Floor:

External utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer (shared with other properties on-site). Decking with garden furniture (private). Enclosed, south-facing garden with garden furniture (shared). Use of estate grounds (shared with other properties on-site). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: No children.. Moorside, located on the first floor at the top of a flight of Cornish granite steps, provides a cosy retreat for two guests within a country setting on the owners’ estate. A kitchen/dining room containing all the essentials and a comfortable living room with TV await you, whilst the bedroom boasts a double bed, where a peaceful night’s sleep sets you up for the next day’s adventure! The bathroom has both a bath and an electric shower over. Your private decking area is a great spot for a little al fresco dining or a nice cold drink while enjoying the lovely views across the Fowey valley and perhaps catching a sunset.
The holiday cottages are tucked away within the extensive grounds of the impressive Georgian manor house dating back to the early 19th century. Mature oak, beech and chestnut shelter the magnificent Magnolia and Rhododendron trees, luscious camellia and dazzling azalea along the shaded crisscross woodland paths. The well-established gardens and borders are full of seasonal colour to feast the eye, while the open grass areas invite to a picnic or a ball game. Take the short walk to picturesque Lostwithiel, an ancient stannary town on the meandering Fowey River. It is the popular Antiques Capital of Cornwall with many quirky gift and craft shops as well as a regular farmers’ market. Refreshments are readily available from several excellent local restaurants, pubs, cafes and take aways.
The riverside park is perfect for a summer stroll, with the river the home of trout, salmon and sea bass. The breath-taking Luxulyan Valley, with visual reminders of mining long gone and the world famous Eden Project are must visits, the latter protecting under its huge biomes, the world’s largest indoor rainforest. The nearest beach is at Par, with a long stretch of golden sand backed by dunes and rugged inlets and caves to explore. Fowey, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has narrow streets, with boutique shops and fantastic restaurants, whilst St Austell Bay, with historic Charlestown and Carlyon Bay with its far-reaching vistas is a joy to behold. Inland lies atmospheric Bodmin Moor with towering tors, waterfalls, fascinating stone structures and breath-taking views. Bodmin’s chilling jail attraction and heritage steam railway are fascinating.
