The extensive and exclusive seven acre grounds of Carr Crag give plenty of scope for children to play and explore. There’s a super Wendy House which provides a delightful and fun area for your children to play in and there are paths leading through the fabulous display of rhododendrons, hydrangeas and many other plants. A short walk from the property brings you down into Skelwith Bridge where you will find the famous Skelwith Force Waterfall, Chesters by The River, The Talbot Bar and the Skelwith Bridge Hotel. Ambleside with its eclectic mix of shops, bars and restaurants are only a 5 minute drive. Grasmere with its famous Gingerbread Shop is only a 10 minute drive.

The accommodation here at Carr Crag Heights, a traditional Lakeland house, has a certain elegance and charm, perfectly suited to guests of all ages. The property is semi-detached with the other half retained by the owner’s for their occasional personal use. Both sides of the house are completely separate and assures complete privacy.
