The location was excellent, just a 1-minute walk to Piazza San Marco. The apartment was clean and the check in process and communication was good. My only criticisms are that the beds were not very comfortable and the AC had difficulty keeping up to control the temperature.

Location and cleanliness were superb however three long flights of stairs without railings were difficult. Also, accommodations for 5 guests consisted of 1 queen bed, two single beds and a non-functioning sofa bed. One guest had to sleep on the sofa itself.

We really loved the property except the air conditioner wasn't working right it could not get below 79 degrees inside even after someone cam and worked on it. I booked it for air conditioning and location.

The apartment was a wonderful location- so close to San Marco you could see the clappers ringing the bell. It was quiet, clean, with enough space for a family of 4. My only hesitation is if air conditioning matters to you, it did not work super well. We visited during a heat wave but the other places we stayed at were able to handle cooling the bedrooms. We would definitely visit again.

Claudia and Massimo were excellent hosts! Apartment was big and had everything we needed. Great location, easy to check out all of the tourist attractions and museums and return if needed. It is steps away from San Marco Square, a little tricky to find at first, but no issues after that. Highly recommend!

We stayed in Venice for two nights. The apartment was in the heart of San Marco square! Awesome location! Communication with the Venice apartment staff was great. Veronica gave us good directions to our place, so we had no trouble finding it once we got in. The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable, and the AC was excellent! Four flights of stairs to apartment, do not recommend bringing large luggage. All in all, 10/10 definitely recommend!

Excellent in every way

This a chance with no reviews for this place when we booked it, and struck gold. So close to all the big sites; yet relatively quiet. Comfortable, well equipped and working.

We were welcomed warmly by the gentleman who lives in the apartment below, and he provided a detailed letter to cover helpful hints about the area, shops, markets, restaurants and tips for getting to these spots and all the big tourist spots he knew we'd want to see. He also walked us through the spacious apartment, pointing out how to use the air conditioning, the stove and about trash/recycling. He is a local who's very well travelled, eloquent and knowledgeable about the immediate area as well as other areas of Rome. For first time visitors, he's a wonderful asset! The apartment was large and clean, with plenty of storage and the bathrooms were both more than sufficient for our family of five. We enjoyed building a puzzle and imagining how families have lived here for generations! On our multi-city trip, this was by far the largest accommodations, and it was really nice to have a seating area separate from a sleep-sofa for my college aged son. We walked from here easily to Piazza de Popolo, up to the Villa Borghese Gardens, took in the view from the Pincio Terrace, also walked to the Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain. It was the perfect place for our 4 day stay in Rome.

The apartment itself was ok, the bedding could have been better. The stairway to the apartment smelled as a cat had used it as a bathroom for a number of years. My kids held their breath and went up and down the steps as fast as possible. The alleyway to the building door is also a little sketchy….it had garbage, bird poop, and the waiters from the restaurant out front used it to smoke. I had no problems with the company renting the apartment, they were super helpful with water taxis and getting into the apartment

Everything thing just as described. Great communication on how to find unit. It is the 3rd floor so you will need to carry bags up the steps. Location was a 10 for us. Easy access to water transportation. I would stay there again.

Great location but air conditioning not working properly

The apartment is in a historical building on San Marco square. Great location. We walked everywhere without relying on the water bus. Easily enjoyed the early morning and late evening when the crowd was gone. There was not a single review on the property when I booked it but I took the chance. We arrived early afternoon on Sunday and found out that air conditioning was not working. The property manager was very responsive but the technicians did not come until 2 days later. It was so hot that we had keep the windows open at night but everyone got several mosquito bites. The unit is simply old, it took another day for the air conditioning to low the temperature below 27 celsius. We were offered to move to different apartments but the weather was too hot to move.
