ALA - Il Bijou Di Rossella - Beach Front, Alassio, Italy

A unique 2nd-floor duplex, in the centre of Alassio, this apartment is right on the beach and has wonderful panoramic views out over the sea. The apartment sleeps 4 people and makes an idyllic holiday retreat, in the very heart of one the most popular resorts on the Ligurian coast.

The main living and dining room has high arched ceilings with some original brickwork. Large windows open out over the sea. On the other side, French windows look out over the pedestrian street. The seating area has an attractive corner sofa, two armchairs and a flat-screen TV. A stylish spiral staircase divides the room and at the other end is a dining table and chairs. The separate kitchen is full of light and equipped with a cooker hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and Italian coffee machine.

Upstairs there is another sitting area on the landing, with double glass doors that lead out onto a private balcony overlooking the sea. Here guests can relax in armchairs and admire the view.

Sleeping
Bedroom 1: The master bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a large wardrobe.
Bedroom 2: This smaller but bright bedroom has a single bed and large windows which look out directly onto the beach and the sea.
Extra: The sofa in the sitting room converts into a comfortable single bed.

Bathroom
The modern bathroom has a shower, basin, bidet and WC.
Upstairs there is an extra room with a washing machine and WC.

Location
If you can tear yourself away from Alassio’s beautiful beaches, the town has a lot to offer. The Budello (10 minutes walk) is a charming pedestrian street, full of interesting shops and cafés for you to explore. The town is known for its Art Nouveau architecture and villas. The gardens of the Villa della Pergola (16 minutes walk) are worth a visit, as is the Muretto di Alassio (2 minutes walk) which is tiled with the signatures of many famous visitors, including Ernest Hemingway and Jean Cocteau.

For self-catering the weekly market (Saturday) is a treasure trove of local produce, which you can then enjoy back home. Otherwise, there are many smaller shops and supermarkets within easy reach.

The closest airport is Genoa Airport, a 1 hour and 15-minute drive from the apartment.
