Family townhouse w/private pool, terrace, mountain & sea views. A hikers dream!

We are an Irish couple who love everything that Andalucia has to offer. We enjoy hiking in the local mountains, swimming in the Mediterranean sea and dining at the nearby restaurants. Our passion is spending time in the great outdoors, reading and meeting new people.

The village stands at the foot of the impressive Tejeda and Almijara Sierras montains and is joined by many smal neighbouring villages on this impressive hill side location. Salares, Sedella, Archez, Canillas de Aceituno, Competa, are just a few villages worth spending some time. The natutal area is rich with spectacular walking and hiking trails, suitable for all abilities and experience levels. The views from the property look out over the valley and to the Mediterranean sea beyond. The moorish village of Canillas De Albaida is picture perfect with white washed houses, winding narrow streets and pops of colour everywhere with native flowers and plants. The locals people are extremely freindly and welcoming. Competa is a short walk away across the hill or a 5 minute drive by car if you prefer. Here you can find the most amazing resteraunts, outdoor markets and things to see and do.

La Casa Antigua is unique in the village with its mirad style courtyard and pool. Upon entering the gates you are in the seclusion of an oasis with your own private space. The house has been designed to maximise comfort and convenience during your stay. Perfect for a couple or two couples to enjoy with high specification king size double beds in both rooms. The master bedroom has a Juillet style balcony overlooking the courtyard and pool. The second bedroom is an oasis of calm with its cave style interior and part of the original build, over 100 years ago. There is also the option of turning this area into 2 single beds. Guests can enjoy the deluxe bathroom with its extra large open shower and marble flooring, the perfect area for pampering. The main area down stairs has a fully fitted kitchen with induction hob, smeg fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. For those who like to cook there is a kenwood machine and all the necessary kitchen equiptment to make this easy. The lounge looks over the the pool area and for cosy nights in winter, there is a traditional stove. On the terrace you can enjoy some sunbathing or relax with a book in the midday heat under the sun awning. The perfect space to enjoy pre-dinner drinks while watching the spectacular sunset over the sea. The house is of an extremely high specification to maximise your stay and comfort. Guest can enjoy high speed broadband during their stay which if you need to work while away is invaluable. There is ample free parking near the property.
