5/5 stars for the grounds and location. The outdoor areas were spectacular. We cooked / had dinner in the outdoor kitchen one night. The pool was clean and beautiful day and night. The outdoor showers were awesome. While it was too hot to play tennis, having the court is a great option. All very well kept. The view from the villa is insane. Worth it for the grounds.I will say the villa itself is a bit small and dated - especially the electrical and plumbing. For example, running all of the air conditioners and having the lights on at the same time caused a power outage (which we fixed by resetting the breaker). Also could not flush toilet paper. Not a problem, just somethings to be aware of when staying in an older home out in the mountains. With that being said, the AC worked well (important for us Americans in the summer), the property manager was responsive and helpful, and the villa had what we needed for a comfortable stay. It was a short drive to scopello (incl. tonnara di scopello which we highly recommend) and castelmarre del golfo. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you plan on using the outdoor amenities and want promiximity to nearby attractions. If you plan on being inside a lot, you might want something more updated / spacious.
