Villa Archidea is a beautiful newly renovated villa (2024), with private swimming pool and large outdoor spaces.

It is located in Specchia, a beautiful village in the Salento hinterland rich in art and history.

The villa can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests and offers many services to spend a wonderful holiday in the south of Salento. Pets are welcome, but on request.

The villa is about 4.000 sqm, the house is approximately 200 m2 large, is well furnished and equipped and has a modern style, with particular attention and emphasis on colors and shapes.

Villa Archidea has wifi internet connection and a centralized heating and cooling system, available in all rooms. Furthermore, the heated swimming pool and the internal fireplace will guarantee further comfort and pleasure during the winter months.

THE LOCATION

As mentioned, Villa Archidea is immersed in a quiet rural context, away from confusion, with a beautiful view of the town. It is located near the provincial road 76 which connects Specchia and Presicce towns.

The charming village of Specchia, thanks to its characteristic historical center with a medieval imprint, has been included in the prestigious circuit of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

THE HOUSE

Villa Archidea is spread over a plot of approximately 4,000 sqm and combines the comfort of a modern villa with swimming pool with the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Salento countryside. The ideal combination for a regenerating holiday in contact with nature and with all the comforts available.

The entrance to the house leads into the spacious and airy living area. The environment, very bright thanks to the large glass doors that overlook the garden and the swimming pool, is divided into a dining area and a relaxation area and consists of:

- kitchenette with comfortable peninsula, complete and equipped with induction hob, coffee pod machine, dishwasher, electric oven and microwave oven;
- large air-conditioned lounge equipped with large sofa and 55" smart TV. The presence of a characteristic fireplace gives the room further warmth and hospitality;
- dining area with beautiful olive wood table and chairs.

The sleeping area consists of three bedrooms, two of which are double and one with two single beds. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, heating and Smart TV (43").

The house has two complete bathrooms with shower box, in the master bathroom the chromotherapy shower adds a touch of magic for greater relaxation.

Finally, the villa has a comfortable laundry area equipped with washing machine and dryer.

OUTDOOR AREA

If it is true that Villa Archidea has large and comfortable internal spaces, the external part will probably be the most used part especially during the summer holidays.

The large porch is well organized and furnished with a large olive wood table, where you can enjoy meals overlooking the garden and swimming pool sheltered from the sun. The built-in sofas and the comfortable outdoor lounge will allow you to spend pleasant moments outdoors.

The garden and the pool area represent a true oasis of relaxation with 4 deckchairs and a large swimming pool (10 x 4 x 1.30). The swimming pool has a shallow water area, is with salt water and a heating system, to offer you an even more pleasant experience. (Heated pool available on request, with extra fee).

There is also a comfortable outdoor shower and a gas barbecue, excellent for organizing tasty barbecues with friends.

Finally, the villa has an external ramp to facilitate access for people with disabilities and a large private fenced car park inside the property.

NEARBY

The heart of Specchia is represented by the central square (Piazza del Popolo), located in the highest part of the town and overlooked by several interesting buildings:

- Risolo Castle, a sixteenth-century noble palace that belonged to various noble families, today owned by the Risolo family;
- the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in baroque style, like most churches in Salento;
- the particular Palazzo Baronale Ripa, with its particular and evocative portico, today a meeting point for the young people of Specchia.

Among the wonderful attractions of Specchia, the ancient underground oil mills dating back to the period from 1500 to 1800 should also be included. These are environments dug deep into the living rock where, in the past, the olives intended for production were processed of what has always been a source of wealth and a source of pride for the Salento area: extra virgin olive oil.

Finally, the characteristic Borgo Cardigliano is also of considerable interest: a "ghost" village that has been expertly transformed into an eco-village, energetically autonomous but perfectly integrated into the architecture and natural environment of the area.

One of the reasons why you should choose Specchia as a destination for your holidays is its strategic position. In fact, its location, halfway between the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic Sea, will allow you to reach several interesting Salento locations in a few minutes by car, including Santa Maria di Leuca (22 km away), the heel of Italy, with the characteristic nineteenth-century villas, the seafront and the basilica sanctuary Santa Maria De Finibus Terrae; and Marina di Pescoluse (16 km away), “The Maldives of Salento”, with its golden and very fine beaches.
