Quietly nestled amongst the vines on a sunny hillside, this newly renovated apartment occupies the upper part of a chalet-style house. The main living space opens onto a small balcony with a wonderful view of the vineyards and the hills of Dolenjska. This room incorporates a small kitchen and has been furnished with a smart flatscreen HDTV, a comfortable sofa bed and a dining table. The kitchen is equipped with everything required to prepare simple everyday meals; a cooker hob, a microwave, a coffee machine and a fridge.

Note: Upon arrival guests are invited to the cellar for a cvičeg tasting. By agreement, in addition to local wine, it is also possible to taste other local delicacies such as homemade bread, salami, and cheese.

Location

The property is situated on the outskirts of the village of Hrušica, in southwestern Slovenia, near the border with Italy. The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation and exploration. Visitors can take scenic hikes or bike rides through the countryside. Popular hikes include the Machova path, a hike to Gorjance to the highest Trdinov vrh in Dolenj, the mountain trail Trdinova pot to Gorjance and the pilgrimage Jakobova pot pass.

For those seeking more relaxation, the Šmarješke Toplice thermal baths are a 17-minute drive away and the Grad Otočec golf course is approximately a 10-minute drive away.

The nearest grocery stores and a restaurant can be found in the village of Velike Brusnice (a 4-minute drive) and there are also taverns with excellent local cuisine in the nearby villages of Veliki Slatnik (a 5-minute drive), Ratež (a 7-minute drive) and Gabrje (a 4-minute drive).

The closest international airport is Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU) which is approximately a one-hour drive away.
