This large and luxurious holiday home in the heart of Appledore is a breath of fresh air boasting sea views from the balcony and a light, bright open-plan living area. Ideally suited to friends or families travelling with up to two dogs, you''ll be in the perfect location to explore the North Devon Coast with the nearest dog-friendly beach just 6 miles away - or less than a mile on the seasonal passenger ferry.
Designed in an upside-down fashion to maximise your enjoyment of the breathtaking view, you''ll find the open-plan living room/kitchen/diner on the first floor flooded with natural light thanks to the dual-aspect windows. The whole family will be able to sprawl out on the generously sized corner sofa placed in the centre of the room or sit down to dine at the dining table. This area takes inspiration from its coastal location with natural wood and neutral colours throughout which have a calming effect, perfect for a holiday, and it also enjoys underfloor heating. The kitchen area is filled with light with lovely cabinets and ample space to fix up a feast. Downstairs you''ll find a selection of simply yet tastefully decorated bedrooms, two of which feature king-size beds, one twin bed and the final a playful bunk room. When the sun is shining, take your pick from the two outdoor areas; the balcony overlooking the sea, and the private enclosed garden featuring a patio with seating, and a lawn for garden games.
For an invigorating walk, you can join a stretch of the South West Coast Path from Appledore with a lovely long-distance trail out to the charming fishing village of Clovelly, or take a shorter trip to the market town of Barnstaple, 11 miles. Those travelling with younger guests will love the selection of family attractions, from The Big Sheep and The Milky Way to North Devon Wake Park with its inflatable water-based obstacle course, all within 11.5 miles and all of which have something to appeal to a wide range of age groups.
