Great property! We loved it! Cottage was clean and roomy, and location between Highlands and Cashiers made access to both very easy. Plenty of waterfalls and hiking trails within an easy drive. Would stay there again for sure.

This is a very charming cottage conveniently located between Cashiers and Highlands. It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. It was very clean and comfortable. I would stay here again. I couldn’t submit this review without rating the Sking which we would never do and there was no snow in Oct. VRBO should fix this.

Had to purchase glad candles and Fabreeze spray and open all windows to tamp down the odor. Seemed to be cat litter box left in bedroom from previous renter. A number of throw blankets seemed to be affected and possibly used as bedding for pets.

Great Location

It's a great location if you want to go between Cashiers and the Highlands. It is close to the highway so you can hear cars from the porch. This is the only negative. The interior is nicely decorated and comfortable.

This house is well equipped and has everything a traveler would need. Beautiful, wooded property.

Very comfortable bed, and incredible mountain views. The Rhododendron was in full bloom all over the mountains when we were there. Will definitely return in the future.

My husband and I enjoyed out time at this property while we visited the Highlands/Cashiers area. It was in a great location, just 10-15 minutes from each town. It also had great access to hikes and destinations in the area.

Couple’s Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this inviting cottage. Close to Cashiers and Highland. As a couple it was all we needed for a getaway. The host was very communicative and accommodating.

My husband and I loved our stay at this sweet cottage. It's a one bedroom cottage but feels as big as many two bedrooms. The home has beautiful furniture and accessories. I loved the big windows and the front porch with comfortable rocking chairs. This was a great place to watch the very big trees and the change in the clouds when it rained. We spent 4 relaxing days at this cottage and felt renewed when we left. Anne Marie is a wonderful host. She provides very clear instructions on her property and was flexible with our check in. We would definitely stay in this cottage again and would recommend to others.

Location was perfect for us.

The cottage was close to hiking and Highlands, NC. Annemarie was very helpful with information about restaurants and activities. Check in/out was easy.

Amazing Stay

The place was lovely and host was very nice! We had a great time, hiking trails and restaurants are all within a good distance as well. Host was very good with getting back to us when we had questions. The weather was a little cold during our stay but the host was very accommodating and made sure there were individual wall space heaters for us in the bedroom and living room. The house had everything we needed for the stay. Would absolutely go back in the future!

Great Rental Property

The guest house was a perfect space for a weekend in Highlands/Cashiers. The location is ideal if you plan on visiting both towns. The property was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

Beautiful cottage

Perfect cottage for my husband and I! The furnishings and decor were beautiful! Great location to Cashiers and Highlands. The owner was very thorough in communicating with us everything we needed to know about the cottage, restaurants, directions and surrounding areas. This was also after the hurricane came through the area and she updated us several times on the status of businesses, roads, power, water, etc. It was very reassuring when we did not know what to expect given all the reports of the surrounding areas. We would definitely stay in this beautiful cottage again!

Wonderful cottage between Highlands and Cashiers

Terrific European mountain style cottage. Everything terrific except for a few minor issues easily addressed. No soap, missing a few lightbulbs inside and out. Only negative is the driveway is poorly marked and on a very dangerous road.

Lovely cottage with perfect location

The cottage is lovely and offers plenty of space and privacy. The French doors that open to the deck with rocking chairs really make the place wonderful! The location is great for activities in Glenville, Cashiers and Highlands. Whiteside Mountain Trail is so close and makes for the perfect morning hike.

A Great Visit

We enjoyed this property. I liked the location in between Highlands and Cashiers. It was spotlessly clean and very well appointed with high country decor throughout …well done and consistent. The host has taken the time to consider every detail for a pleasant stay, and there were so many comfortable touches. Truly top notch. This is the cottage of a larger house, and it does share the drive way. The outdoor covered porch does overlook the drive. There are no other common areas and there was no concern or lack of privacy. I don’t believe the cottage has air conditioning. That was not a problem for us. The climate, cloud cover and ceiling fans were all we needed, and we stayed at the peak of the summer season. We would 100% return, and would like to bring some friends and try the other house.

Lovely Cottage

We had a great extended weekend stay for our first trip to Highlands (charming town). Cottage very secluded, peaceful and relaxing It was very well equipped from kitchen to linens, great communication with local information from owner and easiest check-in. Only drawback might be the driveway difficult to find especially at night- use your GPS when returning from dinner.

When looking for a property to purchase, I couldn't make a decision between Highlands and Cashiers. I loved the activities and people in both towns! So, my only solution was to buy in the middle of both. :)

You can enjoy the restaurants of Cashiers one night and Highlands the next. Both towns have outdoor events on the weekends during the summer.
