stay in barnwell

room too small, couldn’t get out of one side of bed. multiple trendy appliances connected to power boards. TV not working. host bought new tv and spent ages. trying unsuccessfully to connect it. Microwave had to be replaced. location disappointing, with no shops or cafes nearby. host very pleasant, but feel she is not well prepared.

Thank you for your stay, as soon as you told me about the microwave I went and brought a new one aswell as a tv and did my best to work it. I appreciate when guests tell me when appliances don’t work. Thank you for also leaving everything nice and clean.

I fell in love with Cambridge the very first time I visited. It was early spring — the trees were just beginning to bloom in soft pink, and the city felt both historic and alive at the same time.

I remember standing near the Fitzwilliam Museum with my children, discovering how many beautiful museums and spaces in Cambridge are open and welcoming. Later, walking along the river with its green meadows, swans and narrowboats, I realised how unique this city truly is — it offers both culture and calm in one place.

Over time, Cambridge became my home. I love its history, architecture and quiet corners by the water. I enjoy meeting people from different places and sharing small local recommendations — whether it’s a peaceful riverside walk, a favourite café, or a hidden architectural detail.

Hosting allows me to share the Cambridge I experienced and loved from the beginning — a city that can feel vibrant and inspiring, yet at the same time relaxing and gentle. I have a deep appreciation for interior design and historic architecture, which naturally influenced the way this studio was created

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

I chose this area for its peaceful residential atmosphere while still being well connected to the city centre. From here, you can cycle along the river, walk through open green spaces, or take a short bus ride into the heart of Cambridge.

It offers the perfect balance — calm surroundings with easy access to everything the city has to offer.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Despite being close to main routes and transport links, the studio remains peaceful and free from traffic noise. Free on-street parking is consistently available — something genuinely uncommon in Cambridge.

Designed with care and attention to detail, the space combines practical living with a calm aesthetic, including contemporary finishes such as microcement in the bathroom.

Its separate entrance allows guests to enjoy independence and comfort, while still being well connected to the city centre just minutes away.

In warmer months, the garden offers an additional quiet corner to relax with a morning coffee
