Open all year round & equipped for all seasons, `Zen Villa` is a 1 bedroom stone villa at Apanema Mindfulness Resort in Lefkada Island, Greece. It is one of the 4 villas at our Resort. Large living-kitchen-dining area, private parking, a large terrace and 2 balconies with green calm views. The villa sleeps 2 guests. On the premises private access for our guests only to the Heated Pool, Swedish Sauna, Massage Hut, Practice Studio and the Zen Garden. The sauna and pool are free to use for our guests.
Accommodation
Zen Family Villa has 2 floors. The 1st floor is the living area with an open space kitchen-living-dining and a big terrace with a dining table. The 2nd floor is the master bedroom for 2 adults with ensuite bathroom and 2 balconies.
We offer a baby crib free of charge. Just ask for it when you book.
All year round availability
Open for bookings all year round, our gated and private villas resort offers some very nice and rare features for staying in Lefkada 365 days per year, focused on wellbeing. The swimming pool is heated from October to May, June. The Swedish sauna is free to use for our guests. It is next to the swimming pool and is a great way to relax from the madness of day-to-day life.
Apanema Mindfulness Resort
Apanema Mindfulness is a private villa complex in Lefkada, fully fenced, with access for the resort guests only. Our place offers a Zen Garden for meditation, yoga, or any other spiritual practice. We all love a good massage. That is why the Massage Hut was created. Get your massage here, or choose the Zen Garden, or your own villa. The newest addition is the Yoga Studio. It was designed for Yoga classes or other forms of practicing mindfulness techniques. You can use it on your own or ask for a private yoga class.
Retreats
Both owners of the resort, Anat and Zvika are practicing and also guiding others into Tibetan Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong. If you find them practicing early in the morning in the Zen garden, feel free to join them.
All year long except the hot summer months we organise our own Wellbeing Retreats here at Apanema Mindfulness. 8 days of pure disconnection, with sessions in the morning and evening and free time in between to explore our very special island.
This is for all of you out there who are a little bit burnt out, or just want a break from all the noise inside the mind. We believe and feel Apanema Mindfulness is a place where time stands still... And so...we want people coming here to meet the most relaxed version of themselves.

Surroundings
Lefkada is one of the most beautiful islands in Greece, and even in the Mediterranean. It stands out with its unique natural beauty, evergreen mountains, turqoise clean beaches, old island culture and a wonderful climate all year round.
Lefkada (Lefkas) is the only island that is connected to Mainland Greece by road, with easy access to visitors.
The village Asprogerakata is one of the mountain villages in Sfakiotes area of Lefkada Island. It`s an old and established community and the villages are full of traditional stone houses with flower beds and shady verandas.
Karia is the most traditional village of Lefkada and it`s just a few minutes drive with coffee shops, tavernas and souvenir shops with traditional products.
Accessibility and transportation
It is strongly recommended to drive a car or ride a motor bike when you stay at Apanema Mindfulness. The bus service is very rare and the schedule is inconvenient. Taxi service from Lefkada town to the complex is approximately 15-20 euros (15 minutes). All the basic shopping is available by foot in the village of Lazarata 2km away and more basic shops in Karia, 5 minutes drive. Massive shopping can be done in Lefkada Town at Lidl, Sklavenitis or AB Supermarkets (15-20 minute drive).
Beaches and towns nearby
The closest beaches are Pefkoulia, Agios Nikitas, Milos (take a short boat trip from Agios Nikitas to reach Milos), Kathisma, Agios Ioannis, Gira, Ammoglossa, Vagia (Wooden Bridge). 12 - 30 minutes away by car.
Other beaches will take longer than 30 minutes (Egremni, Porto Katsiki, Gialou - on the West Coast). They are worth it because they are iconic. For Egremni, don`t go by foot unless you are very fit - there are many stairs. Alternatively there are daily boat trips from Nidri that go to both Egremni and Porto Katsiki.
On the East Coast, very child friendly side of Lefkada, there are more beaches: Desimi (plenty of water sports), Mikros Gialos, Agiofili, Vasiliki (also with water sports and wind surfing).

Group bookings
Our full Resort of 4 luxury stone villas in Lefkada can be booked entirely for retreats, group holidays, workation, small private events, team-buildings, hiking groups or biking trips. Total number of guests we can accommodate: 14 guests. If accommodation for larger groups is needed we can arrange something close by for the extra guests.
