The Duck House | Dog-Friendly Lakehouse + Hot Tub
𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆:
The Duck House is a calm, comfortable space, ideal for groups. Love hanging out together, but also need a break for some me time? You got it. The space works just as well for families as it does a collection of your best people.
Coffee in the morning, just the sound of the swans taking flight across the water, and that quiet moment where you take in the lakeside view before anyone has properly woken up yet. Now you’re on holiday.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲:
This detached lake house sleeps up to eight across four bedrooms, including a ground-floor en-suite. Inside, high-end interiors run through the chef’s kitchen, open-plan lounge and dining area, all facing the water. Smart tech and fast Wi-Fi make it easy to settle in, and flexible bed setups help the house work well for families or mixed groups.
𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀:
You’ll have full use of the lodge, the enclosed lakefront decking, the private hot tub, the outdoor dining area and the BBQ. The decking has direct access to the lake, and private parking is right outside the property.
Check in from 3PM and check out by 10AM. You can arrive at your own pace with self check-in via key box, just give us a call if you have any issues.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱:
The Duck House sits within the Waters Edge estate in South Cerney, part of the Cotswold Water Park. You’re surrounded by lakes, walking trails and wildlife—perfect for a morning paddle or golden hour stroll. The village has great pubs, coffee stops and local shops, and you’re only 15 minutes from Cirencester for markets, dining, and a bit of Roman charm. Think nature on your doorstep, but everything you need close by.
𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱:
Set within the beautiful Cotswold Lakes, you’re surrounded by over 180 lakes, woodland trails and quiet village lanes. The landscape feels open, green and peaceful in every direction. It's the perfect space to be active and explore, ideal for cycling, paddle-boarding, or just walking and enjoying the abundant wildlife and fresh air.
South Cerney is only a few minutes away and is one of the area’s most established villages. Think traditional stone cottages, small, friendly shops, lovely pubs and delightful cafés. Tree-lined lanes and village greens all lead directly towards scenic lakeside routes, so nature’s nearby even when you’re shopping.
Cirencester is about 10-15 minutes by car and offers boutique shopping, restaurants, markets, and a rich sense of history. Kemble Station is also close, with direct trains into London, making this spot practical for quick weekend visits as well as longer stays.
𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲:
The house is dog friendly. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome (£35 per dog). A travel cot and high chair are provided. Paddleboard hire is available on request, and decoration services can be arranged for special occasions.
Quiet hours run from 10:30PM to 8AM, and we ask guests to respect the peaceful setting: No parties, and no smoking indoors.
𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀:
Everybody finds peace in a different way, and that’s how it should be. From the moment you book, you decide the pace, and we’ll be there to help you plan, and create moments that really matter. It’s that little extra layer of support we offer to make sure everything runs smoothly. Thoughtful service, that never gets in the way of a good moment.
Whether that means a slow morning with a fresh pot of tea and a long soak, or a day out exploring neighbourhoods and nature - we’ll guide you, so it all unfolds just the way you’ve pictured it.
