Wemyss bay is a delightfully quaint village in a wonderful location. The area has been a popular tourist destination since the nineteenth century due to its rail connections to the City of Glasgow, as well as the ferry routes to Rothesay and the Isle of Bute which still run today. In terms of amenities, you will find a small selection of shops, including award winning butcher McAskies with its attached bistro and deli. For a wider range of shops and restaurants, head to the seaside town of Largs just six miles south of Wemyss Bay and enjoy a sundae at the world famous Nardini’s Ice Cream Parlour.
