Almost perfect

It was almost the perfect spot. The apartment had some small but important flaws. The kitchen was missing any kinds of kitchen knives and the oven was not working. So cooking was very limited. We addressed this when leaving and hopefully it will be taken care of. The guys running the place was very helpful and nice and we will look forward to return. We will also recommend Cefalù as a 5 star destination for relaxing at the beach and chilling and dining in the old city.

Great location close to the beach and the supermarket. However, although this was advertised as a four bedroom, one did not have air conditioning, which made it a three in June. Also two of the bedrooms are divided by glass doors, which let light pour in from room to room. This is a much better setup for a family with children than for our multi-generation group. The second bathroom is actually in the laundry room, which is off the rear balcony and not accessible unless you go outside. The kitchen was under-equipped for cooking, with no cutting board or good knife. The kitchen is the only gathering space since all the other rooms are set up as bedrooms. Management was very responsive when we needed service and the price was great and we hall had a terrific time in Cefalù.

Good location with some drawbacks

The apartment was in a great location for my family as it is a short walk to the beach, but may be a little far outside of the city center for those looking for more of a historical or central experience. It is important to note that the apartment is on the 5th (top) floor of a complex without an elevator, so groups with older folks, children, or large luggage be warned. Parking in the area is difficult as the unit does not come with a parking permit or allocated space. Paid street parking is the most easily accessible in the area, but may not be available nearby the unit. The host was very friendly and assisted us readily with check-in. Unfortunately we discovered that the unit was missing toilet paper in both bathrooms. The unit is large, but I wouldn’t call it a 4 bedroom unit because the 4th “bedroom” does not have AC. In addition, the doors to every room including, bedrooms and bathrooms have glass, which means you will see the light from kitchen, other bedrooms and the restroom whenever they are turned on. This was disappointing as we did not all go to bed or wake up at the same time.The check-out instructions were unclear and the host was not responsive to the inquiries about where to leave the keys. Overall, it was a decent stay.
