Beautiful and relaxing

The cabin was perfect and exactly what we needed. The lake was everything we hoped for. We kayaked, fished, swam and reconnected. The water is clear. The WiFi works well within the cabin and porch area. Make sure to map your way out before leaving. There is a store about three miles away just in case you forgot anything . The host was kind and helpful. Can’t say enough good things about Ed and Wanda. I definitely recommend this place for a quiet getaway as a couple or a family.

Lake House

A rustic cabin on a lake; just what the doctor ordered! My daughter and I had a great time. It was fabulous to disconnect and enjoy a simple life for a moment. My favorite part of the cabin is the dock. I watched a beautiful morning unfold. It brings the kind of peace you wish everyone could experience.

Perfect spot for a getaway

I and five other friends piled into this adorable cabin for a weekend and had the time of our lives! The kitchen was perfectly efficient and stocked with the tools and cookware we need. We had a great time sitting by the fire pit and star gazing on the dock. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely relaxing lake cabin

We had a great short weekend getaway. We enjoyed the provided canoe and spent several enjoyable hours fishing from the dock. Overall just as advertised and delightfully quiet and relaxing!

Property was nice and rooms clean. Internet was very poor. Was wanting to watch super bowl and could not get TV to work. Also phones would not work due to off and on reception.

Perfect Getaway

My fiance and I took our pups for a short getaway here. It was perfect! The cabin was clean and well kept. It was a quiet weekend on the lake, we spent most of the day fishing on the dock. We loved our stay here!

Enjoyable stay

Overall we had a nice stay. Cabin could benefit from a deep clean, wasn’t dirty by any means but was stuffy and felt like no one had stayed there for a while even though there were still remnants from some Fourth of July festivities there from the week prior. WiFi was an issue but was clearly stated ahead of time.

Wonderful experience. Excellent place to stay while in the area. Even took a quick canoe trip on the crystal clear lake that was provided by the host.

Wedding

We rented both homes as a small wedding venue. The online photos do not do this property justice. Absolutely beautiful, the 2 cabins were great for a bride’s cabin and a groom’s cabin. Both cabins were very clean and well stocked. Will be delighted to rent again for a family getaway!

Peaceful Lake Getaway

Your own personal nature preserve

I almost don’t want to review this property because I love it so much. It’s so peaceful and QUIET out there. The water is clear, my husband loves it, the grands love it, & my dog loves it. The house is clean, the yard is kept. The only negative is the beds are hard and the living room furniture is not the same as pictured and isn’t very comfortable, but we’re outside the majority of the time anyway. We’ve already booked another week.

Disappointed

We have stayed here before and were very satisfied the first time hence we decided to come back. Unfortunately in one year things have changed: there was no toilet paper, no dish detergent or sponge, unclean areas on the edge of walls and under furnitures, but the most inconvenient was the lack of wifi. Although the listing says that wifi is available that is false. The wifi belongs to the house next to it (which is in the same property) and the connection was very poor to none. Considering that this area is known for poor cell phone coverage, we heavily depended on wifi for communication. Had we known about it, we would not have come. It was a huge inconvenience for us specially because we were restrained from using any of our devices (including computer work matters) unless we physically walked outside the cabin to be closer to the other house.

Lovely Getaway on Small Lake

This is our second time at this cottage. It is comfortable and picturesque. We enjoy it as a base for hiking and kayaking in the forest. Be aware that there is another rental property on the same plot and if it is occupied, it is rather close quarters.

Secret gem of a location

The pictures of the lake do not capture the magical and serene feeling of being at this cabin. So very romantic and quiet, surrounded by natural beauty. Had a little issue with the new internet box being installed right before we arrived but the host was easy to get in touch with. We will definitely be booking this again in the near future!!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful and relaxing property with us.

My family has owned property around this area since the late 1940's, and my ancestors came to Florida in 1845, when it was still a territory. It became at state 1848. After extenisve renovations and infrastructure upgrades, I began renting our other 2 lake homes in 2004. I wanted others to enjoy this part of Florida as I did growing up. I have a wonderful local staff that works to ensure that guests are satisfied.
