Really enjoyed staying here!

The house is clean and roomy. Its a great place to to have a family get together and theres so much space for everyone. We really loved staying here.

A great, quiet, and safe getaway!!

property owner communicated well and went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. The house is on the back end of a canal and very safe area and friendly neighbors. It is off the beaten path a great place to be away from others.

Lake Delancy Paradise

Excellent. Location on Lake Delancy and the Sunsets make it the best place for our family and friends to make great memories. We enjoy the Ocala National Forest Riding ATV's and UTV's.

We really love the location. Linda and Edgar, the hosts could not be better. Fishing right off their property is pretty good, we caught about 30 bass all small except one over 5 pounds. The internet works fine, you get television, cell phone service though is iffy. That is our only negative. This is not a property that is a high end everything to the nines. This is off the grid be with nature place. We will be back.

Wonderful Experience

My wife and I had such a great time at Linda and Edgar's place over the holiday weekend. We even invited a couple friends down to join us. The house was very well kept, and extremely welcoming. Linda and Edgar were very gracious hosts who made us feel like family during our stay. They went above and beyond the entire weekend to make sure our stay was as smooth and pleasant as possible. We would absolutely recommend this house with these hosts anytime, and suggest you book this house if you want a quiet weekend get away.

Dowdy 2025 Reunion

Great everything! Perfect kitchen for preparing all meals. View is gorgeous! Convenient boat ramp and dock access. Love the additional refrigerator…had a lot of food. Handy extra detached building so the guys could prepare their rods /baits for the days fishing. Grandboys loved being able to fish off the dock, bulkhead and canal. Brim fishing was popular for the younger boys. Beds were cozy and spacious bedrooms. Very nice roomy bathrooms. Thank you, Edgar and Linda for a SUPER stay. Hopefully your place will be available next year about this time.

Convenient Fishing

Nice house. Linda is a kind, responsive generous host. The access road scared us the first time. We thought GPS was lost. My husband caught fish every day in the canal of the fenced backyard. Home is at the crossroads of a canal leading to Lake Delancy. Treat yourself to Velchoffs Restaurant in downtown Palatka for delicious fresh food. Also Square Meal (closes at 2) in Salt Springs for an inexpensive rural breakfast or lunch. A nice getaway place in the Ocala Forest.

Peaceful getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! The hosts were friendly, prompt to answer any questions and just all round great people to deal with. The neighbors were also very friendly. I loved spending each day sitting on the deck, enjoying a coffee, reading a book or simply relaxing and watching the wildlife. Our dog loved the yard and my husband loved fishing from shore. The sunsets were amazing!! Initially when we arrived I was a bit worried that we were too isolated. I wasn’t expecting to be so deep into the Ocala National Forest but in reality we were only 5 minutes from the main road and within a couple days I began to truly appreciate the serene and quiet location. I would definitely return here! Thank you Linda and Edgar for a great stay!!

Great place in Ocala Forest on a private lake!

We stayed for the whole month of Feb. Wonderful hosts with lots of important info on what to see/do, how to get there and where all to shop or eat. We were never bored. When we arrived, the house had everything needed except for food. This was the best equipped house we have ever rented! We didn't have to rush out to shop for anything except food that first night. The sunsets are beautiful across the lake. Plenty of places to fish from the banks. Neighbors are super helpful and friendly. Plenty of privacy if wanted. And, our little dog seemed to feel right at home soon after arriving. Any need we had was promptly met willingly by the owners. Can't say enough good things about the owners and the home they furnished with love!
