Fuchsia Cottage is a stunning refurbished Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps 5+1 guests (see Finer Details), in three characterful bedrooms, with the +1 option being a trundle bed, with two bathrooms. Dating back to the 1760s, this stylish, homely retreat has a wonderful combination of modern interiors, original features and delightful quirks, including the log burner and stained glass window woodland scene in the sitting room. The contemporary kitchen is flooded with natural light from the bi-fold doors which overlook the tranquil, south facing walled garden; the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee.

This three bedroom holiday cottage in Milton-under-Wychwood is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with family and friends, exploring the local countryside and eateries. The Cotswold accommodation is laid out as follows:

The maximum occupancy for this property is 6 guests, though the number of adults per booking is capped at 5. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under)

Beautiful Cotswolds retreat

My family and I had a beautiful stay at Fuschia Cottage. It was an ideal location to go exploring the Cotswolds. The house was lovely and communication was great. We travelled from Australia and found everything we needed at the house. Would highly recommend.

Cosy cottage in the Cotswolds

We loved staying at Fucksia Cottage. We thought the best area was the big new kitchen with patio, but also the bedrooms were very comfortable. Ceilings in some parts are a bit low, but that’s part of the charm. The Cottage is near a fantastic pub and near Burford, one of the best little towns full of cafe’, bookshops, antiques etc. The place made our holiday special. Can’t wait to go back!

Fushia cottage certainly lived up to our expectations.

Family Break

Great week in the Cotswolds

Had a great stay at Fuschia cottage. Welcome e mail was very clear and easy to follow. Cottage is very nice - well appointed to a good standard and all made for a comfortable enjoyable stay . Milton under Wychwood is a small quiet village but has a great pub within 300m of the cottage and a small Co-op store close by also. Great stay… would recommend

Beautiful and cosy cottage.

Lovely little cottage that had everything we needed. Very well stocked kitchen for a group or family to enjoy their stay. Very clean and beds were comfortable with great pillows. Walking distance to a lovely pub and the electric charge point was a great addition. We would stay again.

Lovely short break

We loved our short stay in the Cotswolds. Fuchsia cottage has been renovated to a very high standard with a contemporary style kitchen and bathrooms. The decor was very tasteful and there was an attractive garden to sit out in. The location was well placed for attractions in the area and the local pub, The Hare, served great food and drink. Having an off- road parking space was a useful bonus. Overall we can highly recommend this cottage!

A Fantastic Cottage

This was our first visit to the Cotswolds and Fuchsia Cottage made our visit one to remember. The cottage is in a great location and has been decorated to a very high standard with excellent attention to detail. The kitchen & bathrooms were spotless and the beds very comfy. We stayed in the winter and loved having the fire on, we will definitely return and recommend to friends.

A perfect cottage in a truly beautiful village

Fuschia Cottage is a beautifully appointed cottage. It has been very thoughtfully designed for the maximum comfort of guests. The kitchen and bathrooms are newly fitted and a real pleasure to use. We also really appreciated having a supply of dishwasher tablets and washing machine liquid. All in all a perfect place for our short break.

Half term holiday

This is a beautiful cottage to stay in. There a some great features like the extended kitchen. The WiFi isn’t great which is used for watching TV and when you have 2 pre teens it makes the break hard work as there is no mobile signal available. Also the main bedroom in the roof was very chilly so take thick pyjamas! Oh and the lights in the kitchen and stairs were a bit. temperamental.

Cosy Cottage In A Perfect Location For The Cotswold

What a delightful cosy cottage in a lovely village. The house was just perfect for my husband and I and our two friends, and we all agreed the house was like home from home. Being blessed with lovely weather meant that we were able to enjoy the delightful courtyard garden. Great location, easy parking, comfy beds. We would definitely stay again. We would also recommend the local pub restaurant The Hare which is a three minute walk from the house. Both the food and the service is very good. Well worth a visit.

Fabulous stay for family and dog

We had a magical stay over the holidays at Fuscia Cottage with my parents, our baby and dog. The location is fantastic and within a short drive of Daylesford, Blenheim and all the sights of the Cotswolds. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed to make a Christmas meal. The property is immaculate and seems like it’s newly renovated. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or book again!

Loveley cottage

Stayed here for a long weekend with friends to go to a wedding nearby - it was perfect for our needs. Modern, 3 bedrooms meant everyone had their own room and the shower pressure was excellent throughout. Kitchen & decor lovely. Great area for lovely local walks, excellent pizza place (eat in or takeaway) nearby, lovely cafe and an all-important Co-op! We didn't try the pub but looked great. The only 3 negatives I have is no log starter kit provided for the log burner even though it was October & the info said it would be supplied, there is no mirror or dressing table in the top bedroom to allow you to dry or do your hair & no plug near the little mirror in the en suite and the TV in the living room is a nightmare to figure out & get any channels to work.

Idyllic country cottage escape!

We had an amazing stay at this gorgeous country cottage in the Cotswolds. The decor and styling of the cottage celebrates the classic features of an old country cottage with modern living luxuries. The cottage had everything we needed and more, a home from home and so welcoming that we didn't want to leave! We would definitely come back. The only very small negative is that it was a little dusty in some areas but generally very clean and tidy to the eye. The neighbours were so lovely too. We had a lovely chat in the front garden with a local lady that delivered a written list of her recommendations of what to do in the area which was so lovely and appreciated. A lovely holiday which we didn't want to end!

Great quaint house

Beautiful house in small town. Easy walking distance to a great pub for dinner and drinks with several others only a short drive. Several small tight stairways especially for the third floor loft, were fairly difficult to access with luggage. We had 6 people staying there, plenty of space for all 6 but not enough hot water for showers. I sent a message to the host and they said it was addressed but we still never had enough hot water for more than 3 people to shower. Other than that easy fix I would highly recommend.

Great location, disappointing stay.

First the positives - very convenient location, great pub in village plus cafe & pizza/wine place - all 1st rate. We arrived at Fuscia Cottage & 1st impressions were good - well maintained exterior, lovely landscaped gardens with access from kitchen. The downsides… Internally cottage was average in terms of quality of furniture & interior. Ok but nothing WOW considering the price although kitchens & bathrooms are nicely done. The heat inside when we arrived was unbearable …radiators blasting out & we weren’t able to control it ourselves. I called StayCotswolds & got a vague reply suggesting to turn down thermostat which didn’t make a difference. I called again the next morning, explained how uncomfortably hot it was & was promised a follow up - I never heard back again from the person I spoke to - unfortunately I didn’t get the man’s name. A lamp in the single bedroom is activated by movement so it was impossible to read at night. I messaged Stay Cotswolds to ask about it & never got a reply. Overall I felt I don’t feel the cottage or the service from StayCotswolds was value for money.

We are, however, disappointed to learn of the difficulties you experienced with the heating. Our phone lines are closed over the weekend, so it seems the call you made was not to us. The pre-arrival email that was sent prior to your stay included details to contact the property manager directly should any issues arise, maybe this was who you called. We have also checked our records but were unable to locate any emails from you. We do hope that overall, you enjoyed your time exploring the Cotswolds!

A very nice cottage.

Fuchsia Cottage is a very pleasant, up-together cottage set in a pretty, vibrant village. The bedrooms and bathrooms were particularly pleasant and the kitchen well-equipped in the main. Parking was straightforward. There was a nice courtyard garden - simple but well-designed. The only things that detracted from our stay were:- When we first arrived, we reported that the cottage's TVs could get no signal. We were more than disappointed that the owners failed to respond at all to our requests (twice) to have this seen to. Chris at the agency managing the property got back to us but even by Friday ( having arrived on Monday) nothing had been done at all. As recent holiday cottage owners/ hosts we would never have left guests in this position and would have talked to them personally. A real black mark. Poor service which soured our visit a little.

Perfect

A unique and delightful cottage to stay at, with a wonderful blend of the old and new blanketed in a cloak of style. Extremely well organised and informative from the get go. First impressions were great. Original old style cottage look from the front, followed by a traditional looking entrance, lounge & diner opening up into superbly designed modern kitchen and glass windows with a view of an extremely well kept semi tropical landscaped garden. This leads on to a very modern bathroom that wouldn't be out of place in any five star hotel. The windows are actually doors leading to the garden. Who ever decided to incorporate these byfolding doors is literally a genius. It completely transforms this property into something quite special, and makes our stay far more memorable. Back in the lounge area you have a gorgeous stairway leading to the 1st floor. This has a tiny toilet, one box room and one lovely large bedroom. The stairway leads up once more to a beautiful loft conversion. Yes, the stairs aren't the easiest for those who aren't as able bodied as most, but for others this would be a delight to stay in. This room incorporates a wonderfully bespoke shower and a offset toilet. Perfect in every way for us. The entire property exudes quality throughout. If we return to the Cotswolds once more in the future, then I'll be checking availability here first.

Fuchsia Cottage

We have a lovely stay at Fuchsia Cottage, overall the cottage was excellent, very cute to stay in and I would absolutely come back. Just a couple of points for improvements, there was no starter set of logs for the fire even though the guestbook said there would be some. There was also no cooking oil or coffee provided in the house, we had to purchase our own. The bed on the top floor was also uncomfortable due to the slats beneath the mattress. Other than this, our stay was fabulous.
