Boasting lake views, Modern villa - in Golden Circle - Gullfoss Geysir Þingvöllur - Freyjustíg, 805 Selfoss Iceland provides accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 26 km from Thingvellir National Park. The villa features a relaxing experience on country side, with its sauna/steam room (operating all year around) and hot tub (only operating during sumar season). The villa also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests.

The villa with a terrace and mountain views has three bedrooms, one living room with a flat screen TV and furnitures, one sunny room with fireplace, one laundry room with both washing machine and dryer machine, and one bathroom with a walk-in shower. An equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, large dining table and eight chairs. The parquet floors, fireplace and peaceful vibe add to the ambience of the villa. The villa offers bed linen, towels and laundry room.

The property is family-friendly and has an indoor play area. A hot tub is available on-site during sumar season. Both skiing and cycling can be enjoyed within close proximity of the villa.

Poorly maintained property with terrible flooring, cracked cook top and windows that leaked water in torrential downpours. No coffee pot - a single pod machine that delivered cold water over nonrecyclable pods. No toaster or microwave. Hot tub not available. Three bath towels and three hand towels for 3 people for three nights. No wash clothes. Cockroaches in kitchen drawers and bathroom. Small bedrooms had doors that didn’t open fully due to length of beds. This is highest priced rental in area, yet has only one bathroom. Pretty much a waste of money. Over priced disappointment. Shame on owner for falsely advertising this. In their defense, the location and views are awesome just not at that price

This modern house has many nice features—including a sauna, hot tub, and full laundry room. The views from the walls of collapsible accordion doors are stunning. However, a lot of space is devoted to the porch and living room while two of the bedrooms are VERY small. We had three couples staying, and the two in the small rooms had to put their luggage in the living area since no room to walk in room otherwise. The two small rooms might be more appropriate for children than adults. ALSO this house has many electronic features that had us puzzled. Maybe people familiar with these types of light switches would not have problems. But we did, and some of the switches themselves were hard to find. The cooktop was especially difficult to regulate as the burners kept turning off. The property manager was great and promptly sent a maintenance man to give us guidance, but some written instructions left at the house would be helpful to guests. The hot tub and sauna were not useable when we arrived (turned off, half full of water) but the maintenance man fixed them when he came to help. The floors in the main living area were sagging a bit in a few spots and we saw 2 roaches during our two-day stay. The stove pipe to the wood burning stove on the porch was disconnected at the top but we were able to push it back in. In spite of these issues we enjoyed our stay. It is within driving distance of some nice sights.

Auf den 2. Blick zu teuer

Grundsätzlich entspricht die Leistung dem Angebot. Jedoch ist der Bau selbst noch nicht fertiggestellt, die elektrischen Installationen funktionieren nur teilweise und das Haus hat trotz moderner Anmutung z.T. bereits deutliche Abnutzungserscheinungen und Baumängel. Die Einrichtung ist funktionell und nüchtern. Gute Lage am Golden Circle mit schöner Aussicht. Das gesamte Areal ist für die Bebauung durch Ferienhäuser vorgesehen. befindet sich aber noch in einer Frühphase der Erschließung. Uns hätte es geholfen wenn die Anleitungen für die verschiedenen technischen Einrichtungen und Installationen im Haus verfügbar gewesen wären.
