Art-deco apartment Chelsea
Summary:
Experience comfort and convenience in this stylish 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom flat in SW3. Featuring a cosy living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bright bedroom, this flat is perfect for solo travellers or couples. Located in the heart of Chelsea, you’ll be just moments from King’s Road, boutiques, fine dining, and excellent transport links.
It is only minutes away from Knightsbridge with all its fashionable international and local designer stores, restaurants and close to Buckingham Palace and the Royal Albert Hall.
The Space:
The property comprises from a good sized open plan kitchen with wood flooring, good storage in the hallway, double bedroom with fitted wardrobes leading onto an en-suite bathroom.
Nell Gwynn House is within easy walking distance of Sloane Square & South Kensington Underground Stations.
The Neighborhood:
Nell Gwynn House is a ten-storey residential building in Sloane Avenue, Chelsea, London, designed in the Art Deco style by G. Kay Green. Sloane Avenue runs roughly north-west to south-east from Brompton Road in Kensington to a junction with Elystan Place and Bray Place, and its short southern continuation, Anderson Street, joins the King's Road in Chelsea.
Chelsea is a great part of London, nice safe affluent area, one of the richest neighbourhoods in London, a district situated in west London. It's known for its fashionable and expensive shops and restaurants, as well as being home to many of the richest people in the world.
A 9-minute walk to Knightsbridge which is home to many expensive shops, including the department stores Harrods and Harvey Nichols, and flagship stores of many British and international fashion houses, including those of London-based shoe designers Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik, and two Prada store.
South Kensington has the famous National History Museum and V&A Gallery just a short bus ride or 14-minute walk from the property. It’s better for tube connections (Piccadilly, Circle and District lines) so you can get pretty much anywhere in 'tourist' London in a maximum of 20 minutes.
The Saatchi Gallery near Sloane Square station is wonderful, if you like modern art - and it's free and not crowded. Good amount of coffee shops, etc. There's also lots of good shopping on King's Road, which runs out of Sloane Square, and cool design shops and galleries on Pimlico Road (which heads you towards Victoria and Westminster).
If you decide to abandon both bus and the tube, it's actually not too far of a walk to Westminster area, where you can tour the Abbey, go to the Buckingham Gardens, see the Houses of Parliament, cross the river to the London Eye, walk through the South Bank towards Tate Modern.
Getting Around:
Sloane Square Station (District/Circle Line) is a 9-minute walk from the property.
South Kensington Station (Circle/District & Piccadilly Line) is also a 9-minute walk from the property.
Knightsbridge Station (Piccadilly Line) is a 14-minute walk from the property.
The Piccadilly line is the tube line you can take from Heathrow Airport.
Victoria station is an 8-minute taxi ride to the property if you get the Gatwick Express from Gatwick Airport to Victoria Station.
All stations provide London Underground Tube Maps, please get one from there.
For taxis there are the famous Black Taxis (you can also order via the Free App by downloading it on your phone) or alternatively download the Uber app.
We strongly recommend looking up the London underground map and bus lines from the property depending on where you want to go on the Transport for London website.
