Escape to 'The Joey Room,' a cozy, self-contained lodge in rural Wiltshire.

Perfect for solo travellers or couples, this private retreat features a sunny stone patio, a private personal hot tub where you either stargaze or relax watching a 42" Smart HDTV, Airfryer, fridge, free Wifi, optional desk and other modern amenities.

Enjoy a peaceful getaway just a short drive from historic Lacock, Marlborough, Bowood house & the city of Bath.

2 pubs within walking distance of the property, with ample takeaways that deliver and lots of gorgeous walks.

Take a break from the rat race and unwind in rural Wiltshire with your own space surrounded with nature. Your charming countryside escape awaits!

* Bright living space with a comfortable sofa that easily converts into a bed with mattress topper for a restful night's sleep (we'll have it made up as a bed for you for when you arrive).

We booked the property for our second night of 4, cycling Avon and Kennet Canal. We were hoping to arrive earlier than stated check in, to make use of fridge before we set off on our bikes for the day, Alex was extremely helpful and gracious in immediately responding to our request with a yes. Everything was ready, clean and fresh, everything as listed and set out in the welcome message. Hot tub was fantastic, great after our 36 mile ride on canal tow path. The cabin was peaceful and private and we were left to our own devices. I have no doubt Alex and Victoria would have been immediately on hand should we have needed them. The location was perfect for us, and information left for guests was informative should it be needed. Great stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Was a lovely relaxing stay! Alex & Victoria were super friendly & helpful. Was a perfect remote location, (close enough for lovely walks & shops etc a little drive away) Would definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Eveything was what i was expecting plus more the place was really clean and tidy. It was so quiet. Nice little getaway for me and my partner would stay again and it was perfect for the price. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and eveyone whos thinking about staying

Why is the rating so low? Because the photos and the description do not match reality. The listing clearly states that guests have access to a BBQ (as shown on the website), but the real photos do not confirm the presence of any barbecue area. In our messages, we were informed at the last moment that there was no BBQ at all. The host even suggested that we could bring our own barbecue, which clearly shows that the listing was misleading. When I asked, “Are you denying the information on the website?” I was told that the website may be misleading. As a result, 2 kg of meat was wasted. I’ve stayed in various hotels — from 5-star to 2-star — so my expectations were not high. However, this level of misinformation feels extremely unprofessional. When we arrived, several devices did not work. We wrote to the host, and although he eventually came and turned everything on, there were still no instructions and not even a Wi-Fi password provided. There was no kitchen. It was not even possible to wash a plate. Even washing your face in the bathroom sink was difficult. In the corners I noticed spider webs, which made the place feel poorly cleaned. The listing also stated that milk would be provided, but it wasn’t. The hot tub didn’t work properly either. It was extremely noisy, and when we tried to turn it off because we couldn’t sleep, it was impossible. In the end, the only positive thing was a friendly cat that greeted us. I am giving one star only because of the cat. Unfortunately, o
