Unfortunately, this is probably the worst holiday rental we’ve stayed in. On arrival, the door was wide open with the key left in it, which wasn’t the best first impression. Inside, it seemed to us that minimal cleaning had taken place prior to our arrival, perhaps apart from the toilets and a change of bedding. The floors were filthy, the carpets throughout the house were stained and dirty, we found food (including a whole twiglet) down the side of the cushions of the sofa, and the dishwasher was soiled and had food particles in it. The whole house smelled musty and dirty as if no cleaning products had been used recently.In the bathroom, the shower screens were covered with limescale, and the shower head appeared brown. The jacuzzi bath had green “mould” in the jets and pubic hairs in the tub itself. Despite the description, this is a three-bedroomed house with another single bed put on the landing. The garden is just a paved courtyard that has seen better days. The fence is falling down and there is no gate, so it's not secured.We attempted to convey our concerns to the owners via a Vrbo message, but received no response from them, and still haven’t at the time of writing, three days later. On the plus side, it was a great location with the Bath Road at the end of the street, giving us just a five-minute walk to the local shops, bars, and restaurants.This is a thoroughly mismanaged property, and we wouldn’t book again.
