Bell Cottage is a great starting point for local walks and the beaches of nearby West Bay, Eype and Burton Bradstock on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast; and Chesil Beach just a mile and a half away. West Dorset is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a rich history of Iron Age hill forts, smuggling, romance and culture. Well worth exploring, Bridport is the perfect base for a relaxing break or an adventurous holiday. Grade II-listed Bell Cottage with a sun trap garden offers a quiet getaway, moments from the bustling market streets of Bridport. The cottage is recently restored to a high standard with loving attention to detail; a mix of locally sourced vintage, mid-century and contemporary design. Gorgeous, well equipped little cottage right in the centre of Bridport, 1 minute walk to the shops and cafes and a 5-10 min drive to West BayHandy, cheap car park conveniently right next door to the property Lovely log-burner kept us cozy in the evenings and the cottage also had a good central heating system that meant we didn’t go coldThe bed was lovely and comfy and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. I would definitely recommend and if we are back in the area wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again

Bell Cottage was beautiful, with a lovely garden that was a bonus. Excellent quiet location. The house was super clean light and airy. Amenties were of a very high standard - superb bedding, bed linen, mattress, pillows, and lovely products ( & I am very fussy! - you don't always get this ! ) . The kitchen was fully equipped with good quality kitchenware. Excellent communication with our hosts who provided great recommendations prior to stay. Parking is an issue in Bridport - South St car park is opposite - however we used Just Park app to find long term parking for our stay. 100% recommend - would stay again - Many thanks

You don't have to go very far to enjoy the coast and its wonderful beaches and the local walking opportunities that abound in the area. West Dorset is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so Bridport is surrounded by some of the most stunning countryside anywhere in the UK. We have provided guests with a comprehensive guide and walking maps in the cottage. We also provide Ordnance Survey maps for you to use to plan your walking trips. There is a bookcase full of interesting historical books on Bridport as well as resources of how to spend your time whether it is walking or eating or simply relaxing, wandering the streets and enjoying the market days. Bridport has a stunning and award-winning market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The main one being Saturday. Bridport is packed full of antique and vintage shops and the nearby Alleyways is not to be missed for a browse anyday of the week.

We have lovingly renovated Bell Cottage to bring it up to date and to make it a comfortable place to stay. We use the property ourselves and have made this cottage feel like home. Minimal in design with a modern kitchen and cosy bedroom it is both functional and comfortable. Bell Cottage is centrally located and peaceful with no passing traffic. The garden is south facing and enjoys all day sunshine.
